I too wanted 'both'.  I have both on my salads, salad cream on the lettuce and mayonnaise on the egg.

Tomato Ketchup on everything. 

Mayo (Hellmans)..    with a dollop of Nando's Peri Peri with garlic sauce blobbed in the middle of the mayo..   & then dunk chip..  stir to get a bit of both & eat! 

Salad cream on salad (or in mash with salad)

Not keen on chips but on the odd ocassion it's with ketchup...and NO TO CHEESY CHIPS!

It has to be salad cream when I make egg mayo for my sandwiches as well..   (I blame that on my upbringing..   mayo was a bit posh back then)

I like salad cream on tinned garden peas too

I like a sandwich with my mayo.

A lettuce leaf with my mayo.

And chips with my cheese. 

I couldn't vote on the second option because I mostly have nothing on my chips unless they're with fish and then I like vinegar.

Mayo on sarnies, fat free vinegarette on salad, curry sauce on chips and yes to the cheesey chips.

Mayo on a salad? I hate mayo on sarnie too, must EVERYTHING be smothered in the stuff?

Chips need ketchup and loadsa salt

oh, salads I like olive oil and balsamic vinegar/lemon dressing, mmmm

and cheesy chips are wonderful but only if the cheese is melted, none of this just grated and plonked on the top nonsense

No choice for me.. i like salt on my salad.. not mayo or salad cream..

I knew a guy at uni who dipped pizza in the stuff

In Hong Kong they seem to think its a bit of a posh dipping sauce..    there's a really fab Cantonese Restaurant near us...  & one of my fave things they do is is crispy fried prawn dumplings with salad cream..    it comes in a little dipping sauce dish on the side 

they do this stuff called friessauce in holland.. its like a mayo but so scrummy........

Chips should ONLY be eaten with salt 'n' vinegar, so I didn't vote on that bit.

I have recently discovered the delights of salad cream, after a 'drought' of about 30 or so years...lovely

Chips and gravy is the way to go 

Chips only really enjoyed in paper walking and talking dowsed in salt and vinegar when really hungry.. 

Oh, and the thick ones are good for a while, then only the crispy bits are interesting in the end..

Oh and somebody else's chips always look more tasty than mine..

Everyone i know think;s i'm mad having mayo with chips  i love salad cream as well but hate tomato ketchup

I don't generally like salad cream, but when I make coleslaw, I use a mixture of salad cream and mayo and it's much nicer than using just one of these.
