Do you really trust Dave after this week? Really? PS I know that I'm gonna end up with more egg on me face than Nick Griffin after this but I've got to stick me beak out.

Trust? I wouldn't trust a single one of them!
Of course I don't trust him, but then I was never intending to vote for him.

Get ready to emigrate then mate. Check out our next Prime Minister. It'd be funny if it weren't so tragic.

That's the real question - Labour may have problems but look at the alternative !!!!
I've never trusted Dave after any week, I think Cameron was given an easy ride from the press during the Expenses Scandal, It's about time they highlighted some of his decisions.

Right wing press RZB. The swines are going to help him all the way in to number 10.
Anybody would be better than the bunch of useless excuses for politicians we have in power at the moment.
Yet again Labour have been inept at running the country and as usual somebody else will have to sort out.

The Tories are desperate to win the next election so they can dump the nicey nicey image and get back to being the Nasty party. The fact that they joined up with a bunch of racists, homophobes and Waffen SS worshippers in the European Parliament betrays how they really feel.

Thank god we do have an alternative! I will be voting Conservatives like I always have. Dave isn't my choice of leader, but far better than what we have so far.

indeed, the damage has been done and we need another tory government to fix it again.

We certainly do
On that note, I am off to find more relaxing threads to post in

This week's news do you mean? Smacked to me of typical Nu Labour's dirty tricks campaign, again!
Now we get Hammersmith council, reputedly Dave's favourite, plotting to bulldoze council housing for roads and shopping centres and scheming to push council tenants into other boroughs so that Daves' friends in the City can make some money in good old fashioned property speculation until he can hand them back a bank or two.
They seem to have become nice all of a sudden, I remember 2-4yrs agoquote:Originally posted by captain marbles:

It certainly does, it has Mandelson's fingerprints all over it.

Please God NO not another Tory feeding frenzy... the last 18 years of oppression was enough

Typical of them, they have totally lost the plot, they can't dig themselves out of the hole so smear mud at the Conservatives. What a shower, and they still won't come clean about the cuts in public spending that they have made absolutely necessary if we are to stand any chance at all of getting out of this mess that they got us into.

Actually they are quite rightly smearing the NOTW, if then Cameron decides to employ the bloke who was on watch, more fool him. I suspect he will be dumping him later on today.

A good post, OP. Keep them coming.
It would have been difficult to script a more stupid piece of political decision-making by the Conservatives and David Cameron. Enough has been said about levels of trust and confidence in politicians. This latest revelation continues the downward trend.

Some of the things you anti-Tories say are as terrifying as the things Labour say. Labour really have got you under their spell, haven't they?

Even if they are not going to cut public spending, but raise it to polish up all their under-funded schools and hospitals, WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR IT?
Why, you, dear Taxpayer. YOU will pay for any increase or levelling in public-spending out of your increased taxes. It can't come from anywhere else because GB plc has run out of money and can't afford to borrow any more.
So Labour either has to cut public spending or raise taxes.

If they made people at the top end actually pay taxes that would be a start.
It seems odd to me that I have to pay my full whack and yet we have people like Murdoch swanning about paying less, little, or nothing.

Fabulous photo of Murdoch in The Guardian today Joe. He's in 'a bit of trouble' and he knows it. I live to see scumbags like him in bother. Sad I know.

Believe it or not they went to press before this issue. The Grauniad must have been sitting on it. No wonder Vanessa Feltz looks so happy in today's paper. How are they going to spin their way out of this one?
I will just say that I have always thought of the tories as a slightly less right wing option than say the NF or BNP and NOTHING has changed that view.
as a WORKING class bloke who for most of his life has worked in manual factory type jobs, I will never forget OR forgive those Tory bastards for the treatment they dished out to the ordinary working man n women of this country,
They brought this country closer to civil war than its been since cromwell,
nope, Labour are a long way from what I would want them to be, but they would have to get a HELL of a lot worse before I would let even the IDEA of voting for the Tory bastards enter my head,....... in fact,... it would NEVER happen.

Well, even though I'm a LibDem, I'll be voting Tory at the election. I want the current executive out as soon as possible. Their legacy will make Thatcher's look like a picnic in the park and their current scorched earth policy for leaving government will completely trash the current generation of school/university leavers. A pox on the whole vile, nasty, evil lot.

Is this a geographical thing, because your post makes no sense to anyone North of Thirsk.

How exciting! *plans new expedition*

Indeed! People! :excited:
The vast majority of industry was removed by the arch-hoond Thatcher. Her disciples Blair and Brown have done nothing to replace any of it.

and there was me thinking that the industry was destroyed by the unions going on strike so much that it became wiser to have those products made overseas, i'm sure that it was the hated tories that pumped millions into training and development in the areas they unions destroyed.

An interesting theory.
When the Russians cut your gas off in a few years time, don't forget that you can burn doors and staircases for fuel.

I lived in Consett for 3 years, Lancaster for another 3, and I come from North Merseyside so I know what the impact generally was in the North of England. What Brown has done in the City and in the housing market deliberately to maintain his reputation for growth/prosperity and continue raking in tax revenues for his pet projects has condemned us to another Thatcher-like period of austerity for one or two decades. The guy is a turd. Severe and sustained cuts are inevitable whatever government follows. Brown is a barefaced liar over future expenditure and budgets and people who think we can get away with no cuts now are utter fools.
