My ex husband is inundated with cards from our kids, the one he had with his next wife and the one she already had, plus grandchildren. He's a lucky guy. 
On a harsher note, my grandaughter's father killed himself on father's day 2 years ago, so not the best memory for us.I don't want to dampen the spirit, but unfortunately it's one of those dates that will never be the same again and I do seem to have a tendency to pour my heart out on here. Very sorry.

Don't be sorry . I think most of us are guilty of that at some time or another - that's the beauty of anonyminity (sp) bugger!

I dont need a special day to celebrate my father - I find every day he is my life a joyous occasion and I do not need to parade him around some busy restaurant and stuff sunday dinner into him in order to show him how much I love and respect him
