Oh maaaaan, I've only just had a new one put in in March! also turns out I had old lead piping that had corroded under the loft insulation and was slow leaking   i only found it by chance in the summer

Eve it's funny you should say that because ours started with a funny rattling noise and that's what I thought was going to happen. When OH said he would just switch the whole system off I bellowed "DOOOOONNNNNT TOUCH ANY BUTTONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I know Kate, I was cleaning skirting boards downstairs, had to go upstairs for something and found water dripping though the ceiling   I had to turn the water off and poke a hole in the bedroom ceiling to drain it. It cost over £300 to see to.  I'm not moaning, there's always someone worse off but this year has been a pretty shit one for me  and I hope next year's better
