Gawd zaph - I haven't seen a thing that you've said. Now I have to:

look at your posts
find out who got evicted last night
look at this Live Cloud malarky

tbh - it smacks of homework a bit Disappointed

In case this hasn't been mentioned yet, you do have a lot of control over your privacy on LiveCloud. For example, if you go to Manage > My Settings, you can enable the following two options (which are points you have specifically raised):

  • Keep me invisible for Online Now List
  • Don't display my birthday (Note: year is never shown)

Also, if you choose to blog, you can restrict your blog posts to being available only to your buddies or to a subset of your buddies (close friends, family, etc.)

Re: #4: There are breadcrumbs on LiveCloud. Smiler

All of the topics here should be transferred over. I'm not sure when the move is scheduled. It's unlikely that LiveCloud will ever resemble this place identically. Personally, I would like to see the forum features there resemble Eve Community a little closer, but time will tell for that.

Thanks for replying Steve,

Zaphod has posted over at LiveCloud: Wishing to be constructive... after all this is Support Feedback with his comments in a similar vein and I'm sure you've seen our comments in Rosemary's thread (Our Login System is Now Called LiveCloud Network).

I posted the OP of this thread into Zaphod's post with additional comments after I'd signed up to LiveCloud. One being I am now aware of (or rather I finally spotted!) the breadcrumbs.

The bottom line is I think most of us like it the way it is. Frowner

Having said that and even if I appear to be having a good moan about it all (I am British after all! It's the law here! Big Grin ) I am grateful that you found a home for us. Thanks for that!

Shar you may need to look me up on DS I'm Essex Angel* over there, It's been explained to us umpteen times the board will not look like this when we migrate. You have made me laugh until I cry & tonight I'm really sad. Hug Valentine

Aw sweetheart ... I really don't think it's anything to worry about ... this forum will exist over there and we can just continue to post as we do here if we so wish ... by the sounds of things, it may look different, but it'll still be the same community ... Don't fret about it ... it's really not necessary ... Hug

this forum will be going over there and it is a cool place if you want everything under one roof like twitter, youtube etc, peeps who just want this forum there will just log in there and all these threads will be there as far as I know..just a different layout I believe Nod

ok...i'm reallly trying.
i've been to the support place that is how the new forum is going to be. i replied to a thread but got an error, but then my post was there. i did another reply which was there, but when i went back neither were there. then i wanted to quote someone but i couldn't.

it's the worst, most user unfriendly forum i've ever been on. i'm not bothered about blogging and music whatevers...i just want to waffle on an easy forum with other wafflers...

they have such a great format here, i don't understand why they're not using it there?

When you go to your personal site and select Post Blog, Near the top under Create Blog Entry, it says My Persoanl Site: World (restrict access). Click on restrict access. This takes you to a screen where you can restrict that particular blog to just your buddies (or a sub-set of buddies such as your family) or even just yourself. I think this is what you are looking for. Smiler

you can do what el loro said, and also, the little 'gold starthingy' next to everyones names, you can click that a little menu comes up bagel Thumbs Up

i think with some people it is a case of trial and error, try clicking on various things, like a persons name and see what comes up, doing it that way will then stick in your head better Big Grin

I don't like it.

If I wanted to join a scial networking site, I'd join Facebook ( which I have).

I just like to pop onto a forum every now and then, post a bit of waffle and then naff off. I don't wanna add buddies and blog and all that nonsense. The forums on there are so hard to navigate too.
I think I'll be posting elsewhere. I can't get into it at all. A shame cos this forum was fab. Why fix what isn't broken??
