At the top of the sigma sign is which is the symbol for infinity. That means that summing the series goes for ever and never comes to an end.

Therefore as the Gagajoyjoy server is spending all of its time adding EC's formula, it's not surprising that we get slowness experienced on this site.

Quite what the formula is supposed to do if and when it comes to an end is something I don't know. I just hope it's worth it

Yes, but this equation is calculus. Calculus is a way to measure marginal changes and seeing as the complaints have been constant and consistant (ceteris parabus) for the last few weeks (that I've noticed) it has no bearing on the matter at hand.
