In all the fuss over "The Artist" and "The Descendants", I think the Oscar chances of "The Help" have been underestimated. There's been a buzz about it for ages and it's just the sort of film that the Academy lurves...

I would be surprised if The Help won Best Picture. My suspicion is that the luvvies will lurve Hugo best of all.

I agree with you Eugene ... The Academy do lurve an "issue" film, and racism hasn't been done since Crash [a surprise winner].
