I'm totally stumped on 6 and 8... not so bothered about 8 since it sounds like it's obscure - but no 6 is on the tip of my brain..... and it's bugging the crap out of me

I could only get it by taking my glasses off. I know the first 3 and 7 possibly(D, H, L & D?), but I'm probably not familiar with the others!

You should be able to get 4 too - just think about the colours...

FWIW (don't think this is too big a clue):

5 is French; 4 & 8 are Belgian (at least originally). All the rest are American.

I can But haven't got the first idea about the lego bricks/liquorice allsorts!
