The blurb says  ITV will not show commercials during their wedding coverage.

we will all pay for it later!

I know, but by then I'll have switched over to some obscure Sky channel

Or....E4 is screening 50 Greatest Wedding Shockers at 9pm   I think I'll be all confetti'd out by then.

Tony and Gordon not invited to Royal Wedding, but Thatcher and Major are - on a trumped up etiquette technicality. Hmmm

Very disrespectful and very partisan to exclude the two most recent ex-PMs of this country from the occasion.  Do the royals think only Tory voters contribute to their lavish lifestyles?  I wish they did!

From the article

Although Mr Blair and Mr Brown failed to make the cut, the “government and diplomatic” guests include John Cranfield and his wife Vilma, who will represent St Helena. The British territory in the South Atlantic has a population of little more than 4,000.

Actually - I think it'd be one big snorefest to be there in person. Far better off to be at home with a glass of wine and nibbles. I'm guessing the TV will get a better view than 40 rows back in the abbey as well.

Only the very select few are going on to 'the party'.

easy.... I'll be doing some gardening

I'll be going to the park if it's sunny Though, to be fair, the wedding is at 11... if I have a long lie in I might miss it

I'm sure you're correct, but that's not really the point.  I know I'm getting all political but it really stinks of class partisanship, petty revenge by an unaccountable self serving elite to me.

Tony/Cherie and Gordon may have had a fractious relationships with royals but it seems extremely petty of the royal family to exclude them if that's the reason - and the reason given is just hiding behind made up so-called etiquette.

I fail to see how you can disrespectfully snub the last two British PMs and invite some nobodies from a Mickey Mouse one man and his dog tinpot dependency with a population no larger than a village.  Seems it's all the same class together.
