It's driving me mad that I can't buy a 'jardinere' net curtain - you know the ones that arch in the middle. I don't mind voiles/panels etc but my kitchen window on the bottom/middle opens out so a jardinere (sp?) net is perfect, but no, oh no, they're only available on line! I like to 'feel the quality' of things before I buy. Am I old fashioned? My local market has a beautiful 'net curtain stall' but they only offer two, one is so not suitable for the kitchen, the other is too narrow! I never used have this trouble, the window is the same size (even though it's been double glazed a few years ago).

flip, I can't get the link to work!
Maz, if you have a poundstretcher or home bargains or something like that nearyou, you'll get a clothes horse from there, that's where I got mine that now lives in the conservatory!!
GMA, a Dunhelm may have a jardinere curtain? I have blinds and curtains to my windows so can't think of anywhere else.

Decent clothes pegs are hard to find, along with good thick plastic rope type washing lines. I can buy cheap wooden or plastic pegs at many places but robust plastic pegs with good springs i cannot find anywhere. Last line I bought cost a fortune at B andQ. The market stall just seem to have nasty thin ones.
A decent ironing board...my Mum has one she got as a Wedding present 40 odd years ago, it's really sturdy...I've looked and looked for something similar but they just don't cut the mustard, to flimsy
Tailcombs with metal handles. Try it - they're nowhere to be found, ever since it was realised some women used them as protective weapons. God knows where hairdressers get theirs.

There is a reason that you can't get it anymore ......it's bloody disgusting stuff - although I quite liked it as a child. I once ate far too much of the stuff and made myself sick .....that's probably clouded my judgements somewhat. we called it Spanish Gold.
