That very few people in Walford seem to own a washing machine

That Lauren and Ben in Eastenders have not only changed in appearance, but totally in character too?

Nick Tilsey's constipated 'worried' face

Janice Battersby's accent.

Julie from Corrie. Just everything about her annoys me.

Sally Webster and the way she says Rerrrrseh and Serrrrfeh

The inconsistency with storylines really annoys me, plus some people just disappear with no explanation!   As for the kids, they seem to be on their own while everyone is in the pub (no matter what soap it is) Plus the houses seem so huge, with lots of bedrooms, and as i am on a roll, how come some people have no money one minute and loaded the next !!

I know Could they not find any actors with a Belfast accent?
This new boy has a Derry City accent, i don't know if they are going to imply he is from belfast as well but he has a totally strong DC accent.

They re-mortgaged their house to pay for it.

Cheryl and Brendan are cast as half siblings, she was brought up in Belfast and him Dublin....
My mistake...He always talked about his family 'back home' in Belfast so I got confused.

Ive been catching up on coronation street today and the other week when peter barlow was standing in nicks way with a crowbar - Just pathetic! Nick could run freely, Peter was hobbling about on crutches yet Nick was trapped by him and ended up nearly being killed. One of the most pathetic things ive ever seen and believe me i know about being trapped.

Agree that the soaps (which are meant to be based on real life,) have incessantly stupid storylines.  particularly as people are skint/jobless/bankrupt one minute and then wealthy business owners the next.  I also wonder where fat phil gets his dosh from...>???  And I  wonder how Gail in corrie is living and how eileen fits all the people in her house that live there and how people can afford to drink every night in the rovers (or the vic in ee) when me and my family can barely afford to go out more than 4 or 5 times a year. and yes they do have jobs near them home always.  LOL.  and too many people in ee are related too one another.  They are all inter related and it's pathetic and weird.  It's London FFS, not an island in the pacific thats 1500 miles from the mainland with a population of 500!  Corrie is a bit daft at times, but ee is worse.  don't watch any of the others.

Yes that was very silly, Nick could have overpowered him no problem

I thought Peter acted it brilliantly but Nick was terrible! I was cringing watching it!

I don't follow soaps anymore, but when I did, I always used to get annoyed when characters ordered a drink or meal at the bar/cafe/etc and then when something happened, they'd just leave it untouched!!

Also (especially in Eastenders but applies to other soaps too) the way characters having a rough time immediately reach for a vodka bottle and get smashed.

It was more the writing of it that was pathetic. How could a youngish bloke like Nick be trapped (not even cornered) in a big room by a man hobbling about on Crutches.
