A news item has made it onto the BBC top 10 most read articles on their website. Yet again an article from years back, this time 2008.

Funny... the same thing happens with The Independent online. You click the most-viewed article links thinking its a hot topic - its years old. Weird

No doubt there is some much more sinister agenda to their work.

Like demonising of smoking - so we focus on that and not on the tons of toxic waste coming from engines and power stations

I've always thought it quite a good idea that everyone is restricted to one flight per year. After all if people really care about the planet and green issues they would not complain... would they?

Also, if governments were really concerned they would 'super tax' very inefficient vehicles forcing people to buy very efficient vehicles.

You wouldn't happen to be a smoker would you?

I'm an ex smoker and I'm really not one of those rabid ex smokers who rant on and on. I do see my mum though who suffers from emphysema caused by 60/70 years of smoking and think that any media coverage that highlights the dangers (surely everyone should really know) - can't be a bad thing. I simply can't understand why people gamble with their health in that way.

It really is a cop out IMO to be moaning about toxic waste and pollution when people are directly inhaling toxic substances into their lungs via cigarettes on a daily basis.

Just my opinion
