If the industry papers are to be believed, a  lot of these manufactured bands need varying levels of electronic "help" to ensure they sound ok on record. If you search the internet you can find recordings direct from the mixing desk of live bands - it's bloody hilarious to hear a lot of so called singers who can't hold a tune. The electronics are there to help I guess.

Spot on Isadora. I hear and see a lot of talented bands and individuals who struggle to even get a gig and have to work a regular job to buy instruments, studio time and promotional material. I suppose the interweb helps these days, but it is not instant. I do my bit by buying the CD's of these smaller acts and try and see the gigs whenever possible.

Surely to set up a live performance would have involved sound checks, tuning up etc ...........quite a lengthy and obtrusive process which would have given the game away. it wasn't a display of their musical prowess...........it was simply a bit of fun - wasn't it?

Even Jedward know they can't sing.  They put on a show and are packing them in.  There's no difference in them to DJs scraping LPs and making boom boom sounds to go with it.  Good on them they shown up the music industry for what it is.

They look crap with them hair do's  Its a good record but if someone else had released it it would have gone further.

They got louder boos than some of the more unpopular housemates.

Oh well, Louis fancies thinks they are talented.

Pity BB didn't sound dip them like they do the housemates.

they were pathetic.......then nearly knocking andrew over......kicking out at the table and throwing cushions in the pool.....ooooooooo hardcore boys.......they showed themselves up to be right idiots.......

They set the fire alarm off trying to get out the front door and  as the alarm is linked to the station a fire engine was sent.They had to check the alarm at the front door.There was a vid on the home page.Hope CH4 made a donation to the Firemens benevolant  fund for a false call.

I care because there are genuinely talented people out there who do not get a look in. I care because people are celebrating the mediocre. They acted like a pair of badly behaved small boys, they were rude to Davina, they interrupted her constantly and people think it is funny.

The thing that really angered me about Jedward setting the alarm off was that if there had been a genuine emergency elsewhere the fire engines and fire fighters would not be available because they were turning out because 2 stupid kids didn't have the sense not to set the fire alarm off.
Jedward apparently watch BB (from their appearances on BBLB) so they know that BB opens the door when they are ready and not before. I suspect that they are so full of their own importance that they didn't listen to their instructions before entering the House.
