These coloured bangles

I caught an article on BBC Breakfast this morning about a fashion "craze" that is going through schools. Apparently girls wear different coloured bangles and if they get one snapped it has a sexual connotation, each colour having a different one.
I have never heard of these before - though I live in Lincolnshire and it does seem to be about 10 years behind London!! They are being worn by children as young as 8!! If they realise what they mean, that is shocking.

Have any of you come across them?

just a fad, but has some serious meaning to some teenagers as in the article I read, different colors are for different sexual favours, they even arranged shag band parties
