Obviously I don't want the Tories in, but I think she could do a better job than those other dunderheids

I can tell you something Sprout, the Police of this nation would rather she did not. They are mightily pi**ed off with her and view her as the devil's apprentice. I was talking to a couple of officers today and I can't print what they said.

So....an alternative?
We've suffered so much economic damage in the last few days I suspect that they will need an economic determinist. I don't know who that is in the Tory Party - most economist MPs tend to sit with the left.
Mrs Jer has just suggested that like HIGNFY they should have a guest leader each week.

Although she is extremely unpopular at work (TM), one person did say that what we need now is a tough, rottweiler type of leader to get the best deals for the UK when dealing with other countries - one point of view I guess.
How about a tough, Rottweiler type of leader to reject the Brexit result ?

^^ this. Please. Let's hope she has the balls.

We do need a Rottweiler.......but there isn't one in any party as far as I can see...we're doomed I tell you doomed ( said in best dad's army accent)

She'd better not!
Everyone on here prolly knows that I'm not a kiddy person but WTF!

As I said in the other thread.......she scares me and that is below the belt for anyone of any political persuasion

Unfortunately this is fairly common in Tory leadership campaigns. The new issue of Private Eye quotes IDS backing Leadsom against May because of her "strong family background", and points out that Norman Tebbit made the same point when he supported IDS over Michael Portillo for the leadership in 2001 ("He is a remarkably normal family man with children.").
Needless to say, Tebbit's also supporting Leadsom...

It's looking like there are more knives being sharpened in the Labour Party than the Tory Party
Maybe one should open a knife shapening business
Although our Deutsche isn't very good, today we read something suggesting a new party arising out of old Tory and new Labour. I wonder how they would finance it?
The Germans are absolutely fascinated by Brexit by the way. Everyone wants to know about it. We've had loads of discussions.
Leadsom's gorn now too!
So, Theresa May is the last one standing. Flippin hell, its like the end of Hamlet
So it's no longer Theresa May as Theresa will
I know
So the country is going to be run by a leader who no one, not even the Tory Party, has elected by vote. Would that be correct?
Andrea Ledsom's reasoning for withdrawing from her leadership challenge was?
We need to get a new leader in place as soon as possible
Well why the heck bother to put yourself forward in the first place then?
It's what we're not being told Moonie - strong arm tactics?
Some MP's in both parties don't quite seem to have caught on to the programme. The politics game has changed, it's not MP's our bosses and we like sheep do what we're told any longer. They must be slow learners.
We might get a decent PMQ's now rather than DC hurling insults at JC
There is no issue with having an 'unelected' PM. See also Churchill, Mac, Home, Callaghan, Brown et al.

The reason I read was because of the flack she got for the 'I'm a mother, she's not' comment. If she breaks under that strain she's better off at home knitting and feeding the kids...

That was then Joe. This is 2016...
Whether or not it's 2016, though to be fair it's shaping up to be 1932 Germany.
Its up to the Tories whom they have as leader.
Its up to us whom we have in government.
