Teletext got one wrong on a news story the other day. They had 'their' instead of 'there'. I think I actually growled at the TV as well as swearing at it and calling it every sort of idiot.

I resent the fact that I am referred to as an illiterate tard

. In the film Poltergeist Carol-Ann pronounces 'They're here' as 'Their here' I was only going by how the little squirt spoke.

Admittedly 'They're Here' makes more sense but thats not how she spoke it, innit!!!

spelling mistakes on public forums will always happen, i try to spell words correctly but its no reason to make someone feel inferior just because they cannot spell a couple of words.
That said however when I see this in the media, papers n such it boils my piss.They are paid to spell correctly

To me 'there', 'their' and 'they're' all sound the same.

Maybe it's a regional accent, but I was always under the impression that the 'confusion' about which spelling was used when was partly BECAUSE they all sounded the same.
