Themes: any chance we can lose the awful backgrounds?

I quite liked yesterday's theme and hated all the others but even yesterdays theme had awful dots in the background. I wonder if we'll get a chance to vote on losing the silly backdrops as well as voting for which theme we like best.

What's with the backgrounds anyway? It seems like an awful lot of space to waste for aesthetics (if indeed that's why they're there).

I love the spots and squares and flowers. I think it makes the layout much more interesting. I thought the flowers were slightly more intrusive than the other themes, but I think today's option is really smart.

I don't really notice the background (margins), apart from my Grandmother's wall paper, from yesterday.

This is basically what a forum is - different opinions and we have to be reminded of that now and again when things become heated.

Because I increase the size of the page.....I don't get to see the backgrounds.......bonus

.....I did reduce the size just to see the granny wallpaper yesterday.....and thought it a bit iffy

Come on people make a stand. Say NO to loopy backgrounds you know it makes sense

And mine...favourite that is.....though i never saw the flowers on here yesterday...they didn't show on my PC...I only glimpsed them on my phone when loading and thankfully they went after that!

I much prefer the grey ones...1st and today to the brighter ones!
