I think John could get overlooked because most of the focus seems to be on the boy band and the girls. John can sing whereas some others aren't anywhere near his standard

Of course, he doesn`t compare with all of the ^^^ mentioned but this is XFactor. I think John did well.

The direction of music especially the Simon Cowell kind is how to make as much money as quickly as possible using good looks. John is a great singer but as usual its all about the gimmicks and cute boys.
