Who the hell is Gamu??   her voice was digitally remastered during the audition show, the press and the public felt sorry for her simply because she might have been sent back to her homeland,  Cher is an original act and Gamu was a mime artist.


But MrMincePie has proved my point in one way, the girls were doomed from the start simply because of the Gamu over hyped nonsense at the start,  Cher and Katie were marked women from the start even before they opened their mouths so the public hated them from second one.


This is meant to be a singing competition and not a personality show.

One Direction will win, they were all dung especially Matt he is truly awful and I have said so since the start very weak voice, not powerful and was completely out-sang by a woman who could hit higher notes than him and have a stronger voice. ie. Rihanna

Cher was the stand-out act tonight. She will probably be successful with her style(it's not to my liking but she has impressed me a couple of times this series), she doesn't need to win this.

Can't quote Jackson but imho she's far more unique than they are. A boy band who sing in unison, can't sing in harmony and need backing harmonies to give them a fuller sound.

VS Cher has a crap attitude , the difference from her attitude from the last few weeks to this week is a transformation, she is being PRed to the hilt. She is an egotistical little chav.

There are acts out there like Cher she isn't original, there are plenty of female rappers other there, such as Tulisa from N-Dubz,  Lady Sov, Estelle, Lady Dynamite so to say she is unique is bull.
The reason Chers out is because she was disliked, for you to slag of the situation is also shit because it was all for the viewers vote,.

I think you are right Katerina, Cher doesn't need to win this but she still should have done, Im not a fan of rap either but she has showed she can sing as well, and shes confident and different, I thought that was what the X Factor was meant to be about.


Matt is an average singer but he is nothing special,no one is telling me he has the X Factor.

RiverRock,   I have to say that I haven't seen any evidence of Cher having a bad attitude, I just think shes single minded about what she wants to sing and how she goes about her performances...shes original and doesn't want to be styled to look and sound like every female singer thats ever lived before which is what they tend to do on this show, they style the originality out of the performer.

The only scandal is that Rebecca has lasted this long.

Growly, Rebecca can sing tho,  although a few weeks back on Beatles week she should have gone as she was AWFUL that night.

Cher said she wanted to bring a different style to England!
She didnt like to do ballads,but it was ballads that saved her in the sing offs,and Stay was her best performance.

We've just got in from a night out. My husband hardly watches X Factor .....................he tunes in and out of it.

I just told him (from what I've read on here) that Cher has gone .....................he said 'Did she cry? Did it mean everything to her?'

Personally - I couldn't be more delighted!

And, as far as I remember, the public knew nothing about her possible deportation, when they 
saw her being rejected by Cheryl, in favour of Cher and Katie. 

I think it would have been a very different competition if Gamu had got through.

Cheryl Cole is quite clueless IMO .......................she let a real gem slip through her fingers in preference of a pair of talentless gimicky kids! Then again ...............that's just what she is herself.

I think a few weeks ago we thought it was all between Becks and Matt. It was in their hands. Subsequent weeks showed them to be one trick boring ballad based carp. Whilst Cher at least did something different and entertaining. I don't think those two are going to make it which means that the utterly utterly rubbish boy band are going to win. Otherwise another great tv prog that all the family can watch.

matt has fallen apart the last couple of weeks..........best tonight imo were rebecca and cher.......one direction 'the next big boyband'........gawd i want to smack their smug little chops in........only 2 of them sing.....the others stand around doing weird dances and touching their knobs(zain..zane? in particular).........aaaaaaaaaaaand to me all the others actually sound live..........one dimension(bland crap) sound like their getting ALOT Of backing trickery

Robbie Williams has the X Factor,he manage to sing with Take that tonight on Strictly ,then duet with 1  Direction on the X Factor

I don't see how anyone can watch Cher's first performance and deem it anything above terrible (and the less said about the amazing Will.i.am in her second performance the better).

It was a crap 'song' when Missy Elliot did it, Cher made it sound even worse, and I never thought that was possible.

So glad she's out.

Blizz ard,  The public knew of Gamu's "plight" just before the first live show, thats where the press hatred for Cher and Katie started, those two were wrongly seen as the reason why poor little Gamu wasn't picked to go through...add to that her issues with being possibly deported,  the press nonsense and the public blindly following the press's BS started right then and there.


This years show has been all about what the public THINK they know about Katie and Cher and not what was ever proved...it should have been about talent and not personality,  Elton John isn't an easy person to work with but it doesn't stop him from being talented.


Everything that Cher has been accused of I've seen actually proved in MATT, he has been the arrogant one, he has been mouthing off in the press about the others (disrespecting them), add to that i've seen him give far more crap performances than Cher, tonight being a case in point, he should have gone tonight as he was the weakest of the lot, but instead Cher went over him proving my point that this is no longer about talent and more about personality and press involvement.

Anyone else think it was odd that when all the finalists went to their schools, Cher went to her PRIMARY school, while everyone else went to the secondary school - as she did not go back to hers, it makes me think those bullying allegations may have been true - or she must have some issues there not to go back.

I wouldn't want to go back to a school where this had happened.
