The auditions were on majority vote to be fair. He didn't want Wagner at all in the beginning but then the comedy value set in, didn't think for one second he would be brought back as a wild card. But then again....this is Simon we're talking about

I think you will find she DOES care... she always breaks down, she can't take criticism. Each week where shes been poor shes said its knocked her.

I still believe the only reason why Katie and Cher get so much unfair stick in the press and on these forums is because the girls section was under a cloud from the start because of Gumu (Gamu) or whatever her name was....the press hate for the girls started there.

I think you will find that it stemmed from the fact that NEITHER of them sung properly in their final audition at Boot camp and yet Cheryl took them anyway.Gamu gave the performance of her life and was rejected.
I don't follow the popular press - I literally judge each performance on the night and I am not impressed with either of them.

Or it could be that they are just generally crap and have to result to tears/break downs to survive in the competition
Video would you honestly pay money to listen to a CD by either of them? I sure as hell wouldn't, or any of the dross acts .Wagner was fun anti music.That's why he stayed so long.Very few X factor punters make it,whether winners or not.This show is all that's bad in music these days.

I was reading an interview the other week that featured Annie Lennox,she stated she loathed X- factor and so called maunufactured acts etc.Now that lady CAN sing.

Joe,I don't listen to radio ever,I prefer my own selection of music.Maybe I am a bit stagnant as regards newer stuff.however I like the music have heard from her in the past.
I'm totally stagnant about "new" stuff. We are R2 listeners after all. Two big Annie Lennox fans in our house, but not keen on this new album.

I would say that Katie should not have gone, out of all the contestants I saw she has the strongest voice.
Rebecca, is totally one dimensional, yes it is a pleasant voice but that is all there is.
Matt is just a zombie, his performances did not move or excite me in any way, another x factory contestant who will more than likely vanish after one song, oh and his rendition of I love rock and roll was terrible.
Mary is an average pub singer, with a limited vocal range.
The little boys in the boy band, were dreadful, they missed on the harmonies and as for all that crap about showing they could all sing, erm unless I am very much mistaken, only three of them actually sang...... They should have gone!

Cheryly Tweedy is the most annoying thing on television, with louis walsh a close second and dermy o'dreary third, the man just shouts really quickly and is totally pointless on the show.

Slightly off topic but in response to the Annie Lennox posts, I listened to a great interview with her a couple of weeks ago on the radio and I agree she is a lovely person.
But I had to laugh when she talked about the song "Step by Step"
She wrote the song but Whitney Houston released it - she said she didn't release it herself because it wasn't up to her "usual standard".

Louis Walsh has confirmed that four acts will compete in The X Factor final.
In previous years, three remaining hopefuls have gone head-to-head in a bid to be crowned the series winner.
However, speaking on RTÃ Radio One, the judge revealed that this week will only see one of the remaining five acts exit the competition following last weeks double elimination.
Matt Cardle, Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Ferguson, Mary Byrne and One Direction will all compete in this weekends semi-final.
The seventh X Factor final will take place over two two-hour shows on December 11 and 12.
