X Factor: Chico says Simon made Louis put John and Edward Grimes through

Chico Slimani has claimed that Simon Cowell forced Louis Walsh to put John and Edward Grimes through to the live finals, because he knew what a media circus would erupt around them.

The former X Factor contestant told the hosts of Live From Studio Five: “I’ve been watching it and I have to say, when they came on, I thought, ‘They can’t possibly let them through’. Now Simon is many things, stupid he isn’t. He’s rung up, going, ‘Louis, you’re putting those kids through’. Why? The thing is, who are we talking about now?

“They get in the newspaper columns, they’re getting people like us talking about them and they’ve got the kids behind them.”

He added: “Can they sing? No. Are they going to win? No. Are they entertaining and do you switch on to see what they’re going to do? Yes. Is it good for the show? Ker-ching, Simon’s got it going on!”

Anyone know who Sundays guests are?

I never watch the Sunday show, but i think this week is Rock week, and rock is my type of music. Hopefully they have some decent acts on there like Coldplay and Green Day.

Oh well, I dont have to watch the pantomime show on Sunday and can go out instead.

Road to X Factor house closed off

Police have closed the road leading to the X Factor house in London, as a safety measure designed to protect crazed fans.

The road is reportedly used as a shortcut by many local drivers and police are keen to avoid one of the many teenage fans being knocked down.

A statement from Barnet Council said: “The decision has been taken to protect children and teenagers who have been amassing in the road outside the property.”

 

Councillor Andrew Harper added: “I appreciate the nuisance that this crowd is causing some local residents but our priority has to be to ensure that these young people are safe.

“We have rain forecast for the weekend and I hope that, and the end of half term, will bring an end to the problem.

“In the meantime I trust the fans outside the house realise that this is a residential street and will act accordingly.”

Why bother, let them get run over if they are that stupid to stand around in the road

X Factor stars JLS draw thousands of fans as they switch on Manchester's Christmas lights

X Factor stars JLS were nearly deafened by the screams at Manchester's Trafford Centre last night when they turned on it's Christmas lights.

Last year's show runner-ups performed a cover of Rihanna's Umbrella before they flipped the all-important switch.

Aston drew the biggest cheers of the night though when he said: "Manchester, you are amazing. Look at all these beautiful girls." 

The Manchester Evening News reports that one girl was taken to hospital after one girl passed out in the crowd.

The paper also reportst that traffic was completely gridlocked around the centre ahead of the start of the show because of the sheer volume of people trying to get in to see JLS.

Leona Lewis and Black Eyed Peas are to perform on the X Factor next weekend.

The two heavyweight acts will sing live on Sunday's results show, on 8th November. Lewis will be singing her new single 'Happy', with the Peas also performing their latest song 'Meet Me Halfway'.

While this weekend's show will see last year's X Factor runner-up group JLS, as well as Bon Jovi performing.

I reckon Simon is secretly pleased about all the attention Jedward is bringing to the X-Factor.

JLS are brilliant Hicky, i'm over the disappointment of them not winning now as it has done them a favour and they will be around.

Simon knows the Twins could make him a lot of cash and he isn't going to turn that down. People who don't even like the X-Factor are tuning in only to see what Jedward are doing next which is why I believe Simon wanted them in the final 12, he has the final say really it's so obvious.

Cheryl Cole has fought off competition from Westlife to spend a second week at the top of the Irish singles chart.

The X Factor judge's debut solo single 'Fight For This Love' remains at the chart summit this week, while Westlife's cover of Daughtry's 'What About Now' takes second place.

Alexandra Burke and Flo Rida's 'Bad Boys' falls one spot to three. Black Eyed Peas' 'I Gotta Feeling' drops one place to four, while the R&B group's latest offering 'Meet Me Halfway' reaches a new peak of six.

Jay Sean and Lil Wayne provide the highest new entry of the week. The pair's collaboration 'Down' takes tenth place in the chart.

It’s been claimed that X Factor bosses are concerned contestants John and Edward and Rachel Adedeji may have swine flu.

The singers all visited Great Ormond Street Hospital earlier this week, and it’s believed the trio were in contact with someone who has the hard-hitting illness.

During their visit John, Edward and Rachel allegedly shook hands with a hospital security manager who, hours later, was diagnosed with having the swine flu virus. Swine flu is highly contagious and spreads by direct contact.

It’s been reported that the hospital employee was feeling ill before the singers' appearance, but stayed at work because of the number of fans who arrived at the hospital hoping to catch a glimpse of the X Factor stars.

He told The Sun: "I was with the twins the most and Rachel gave me a big hug. I'm worried I've given them swine flu.

I know it's not my fault but I feel really bad because John and Edward were two of the nicest people I have met."

A spokesman for Great Ormond Street confirmed: "Unfortunately, one of the hospital's security team who was working on the X Factor visit on Tuesday has since been diagnosed with swine flu.

"The member of staff had minimal involvement in the visit; he was not visiting the wards and had no contact with patients.

"All the X Factor visitors complied with the infection control procedures in place in the hospital. The hospital takes swine flu very seriously and staff know not to come to work if they have symptoms."

The papers now claiming Rachel Adedeji topped the public votes instead of Jedward now, more rubibsh spouted but it's publicity for the show. This so called source is risking their job if telling the papers and there must be security measures in place don't believe a word of it.
