The problem with the twin getting the votes is that, if they were to say Win, then Simon has a very big problem, he stands to lose a fortune in cash I imagine.

He won't be able to sell them anywhere, as they can't sing, and performers are 10 a penny.

It would make a mockery of the X-Factor for a start, and make Simon look very sad.

X Factor twins John and Edward put on a show for fans

Last updated at 10:11am on 27.10.09

X Factor finalists John and Edward Grimes clown about at the contestants' house in a break from rehearsals for this weekend's show.

The identical Irish twins, 17, were voted to the next round of the ITV show on Saturday after performing a cover of Ricky Martin's hit She Bangs.

X Factor Blog: The twins have the 'compulsive viewing' factor

Judge Simon Cowell has made no secret of his dislike of the twins, but Louis Walsh, their mentor, said: “Kids love these guys. They're fun and they have the likeability factor.”

What bad press?  I haven't seen any articles about any of 'em.
Your point is quite interesting. Mrs Crossy also believes that it depends on a vote, we've had quite a debate on the subject. I must be quite naive in that I can't believe music lovers would vote him below the likes of Lloyd, Ollie, Stacey and such, unless  there is a  complex John Sargeant type mechanism in operation. Or maybe the vote doesn't count and the powers that be are just messing us about?

And if it's true about him upsetting the girls including Stacey then he is finished.

It's not true though if it was then do you think the producers would really let him stay even though Simon Cowell really likes him?, the contestants would have turned against Danyl also if it was but they've been really nice so it's a sign that the papers are making up rubbish against him, he might not even be in the sing off this week or he could be again?.

I suspect this vote leak about the Twins is trying to get rid of them but they've built up their fanbase now.

Cole set for chart double

11:03 | Tuesday October 27, 2009

Cheryl Cole looks set to pull off a chart double this Sunday, with her debut solo album 3 Words (Fascination) likely to join her debut solo single Fight For This Love at the top of the charts.

3 Words sold more than 31,000 copies yesterday on its first day of release, around 7,000 more than its nearest competitor, Michael Buble’s Crazy Love (Reprise).

Michael Jackson’s new album This Is It (RCA) is currently in third place, after selling around 17,000 yesterday.

New albums from Soldiers - Coming Home (Rhino) - and Katherine Jenkins – Believe (Warner Bros) – should also debut within the top ten. Current number one, Alexandra Burke’s Overcome (Syco), looks set to keep a top five position.

Meanwhile, Cole’s Fight For This Love (Fascination), which sold almost 300,000 units last week to debut at number one, looks highly likely to remain at number one this Sunday, after selling another 56,000 units yesterday.

Its nearest competitors are Westlife’s What About Now (S), which sold more than 32,000 units yesterday, and Jay Sean featuring Lil Wayne’s Down (Island). The title track of Cole’s album should also debut within the singles top 40.

Miss Frank: 'the public don't like girl bands'

X Factor reject Miss Frank have claimed that they lost the public vote because viewers "don't connect" with girlbands. The group told a tabloid newspaper that they believed that the public were turned off by their "tough" image.

Singer Shar Alexandra told The Sun that she thought that viewers found it easier to identify with a solo singer.

Shar Alexandra, 25, said: "Maybe people find it hard to connect to more than one person.

"We are just as vulnerable as one person but we go out there fighting to stay in."

She added: "We went out how we wanted to go out - as Miss Frank."

Graziella Affinita said that she believed that they lost out because they did not win votes from female viewers of the show.

She said: "I think the girls that watch it tend to vote for boys. That is just the way it works on the show."

Miss Frank also claimed that their hip-hop image may not have appealed to X Factor viewers.

Shar said: "It was a bit different for The X Factor. But I think people would have warmed to it once they started to understand."

Shaniece Davis added: "It worked because Graziella showed a different side to hip-hop.

"She showed it can be soft - that you can enjoy hip-hop in a totally different way."

I see Heather Mills is training for DOI in Jan.
Why would you roll your pants up to show your wooden leg?

Is she after the sympathy?

I have every respect for her, having lost a leg in an accident is terrible, but normally you don't advertise it at every opportunity, or do you?

So you actually believe the rubbish the papers are saying about him, the contestants seem to have no problem with Danyl at all so it must not be true. They've hardly got any proof. They will probably get Stacey to speak out soon as she's the person it is alleged to happen to.
Whether it's true or not, the acts will probably have been told not to talk to the press. So Stacey isn't going to say that he is bullying her is she, no chance.

I think it has come from a leak at the house, and someone has told the press, the acts do get out at night we know that.

It's strange it isn't any of the others that are causing the problem.
Tha same thing happened a few weeks ago, but she is under a lot of pressure from the papers saying things about her, and she can do without those in the house making things worse.

There's nothing the show can do about it as it isn't filmed or on record, so who are the witnesses?

She's done DWTS before Hicky and didn't do bad on that, she will probably be out first round then on DOI.
It must be awful for her not to be able to do what all the other girls are doing, I admire her for trying though. She is getting better, but skating is hard even with 2 legs, so it may be too much for her.

The acts probably can't speak out but if it's not true then I imagine Stacey is probably feeling really bad that he's getting all this negatvive press and her name has been mentioned. The papers always claim to have their ''sources''.

All the acts have pressure, but to be fair Stacey has had nowhere near some of the abuse Danyl or Jedward have had so she's just going along quietly doing her thing every week whilst them two are under scrutiny. Lloyd is getting a bit of stick recently also.

The problem is that we don't know what is going on in the house.
And as with all reality shows there's always those that are trying to score points and get the others to worry and mess up.
We find it whenever there is a competative nature, and this is worth a lot to them.
It's big money really whatever way you look at it.

And if the stuff that's printed in the red tops is getting rubbed into your face it is going to effect your singing.

None of them really want the other to do well, why should they?
But it's controlling any dirty tactics that is hard.
And some will do anything to win, they don't have scruples.

X Factor Fans Go Wild For Twins John And Edward - Pictures

Amid fears 'Jedward' might actually win the show...

Wednesday 28th Oct 2009

X Factor twins John and Edward were mobbed by screaming fans outside The X Factor house in London on Tuesday.

Two police officers were forced to hold guard as the Dublin brothers greeted a crowd of 50-strong teenagers.

The scene was reminiscent of Beatlemania as fans handed the pair custom-made banners and scrambled to have their pictures taken with their idols.

John and Edward are mobbed by X Factor fans in London.

John and Edward were initially outsiders for the crown but covers of Britney Spears and Ricky Martin hits have made them favourites to win the show.

Their rapid rise, which saw them win the most votes on Saturday's show, is understood to have angered X Factor supremo Simon Cowell.

John and Edward emerge from the X Factor house in London.

Agent Jonathan Shalit told The Sun newspaper it would be the musical mogul's “worst nightmare” if they won the show.

Jedward's mentor Louis Walsh added: "They're young, they're fun and they have the likeability factor, which is what this show is all about.”
