Rachel has lost any fans she won with that nonsense at the end. I wouldn't be surprised to see her n bottom 2 tonight.
I did cringe when she kept on about how great it all was.  I think it was just relief that she  had got good remarks from the judges, but it's going to be all the worse for her this evening if she's in the bottom two again.  I really like her, though, and I liked both her before and after looks.

Cheryl Cole's debut is number one

Cheryl Cole's first release as a solo artist, Fight For This Love, has gone straight to the top of the charts.

The song is the fastest-selling single of the year so far, with more than 290,000 sales.

The Girls Aloud singer, whose album comes out on Monday, said getting to number one had put "a permanent smile on her face".

Cole knocked X Factor's Alexandra Burke - another former reality TV show contestant - off the top of the charts.

Cole said: "I'm just getting over the fact I have recorded my solo record and now it's number one.

"I can't take this all in. It's hard for me to put into words how I feel. I have this permanent smile on my face."

Cole had been hot favourite to reach number one since performing the song on the X Factor for 12.7 million viewers last week.

World's sexiest woman

Her profile has been rising since her stint as a judge on the show.

She was on the cover of the UK edition of Vogue in February, and was named the world's sexiest woman by readers of FHM magazine in April.

Fight For This Love was premiered on BBC Radio One and was written by Andre Merritt, Steve Kipner and Wayne Wilkins.

They had previously penned material for R&B stars such as Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.

Martin Talbot from the Official Charts Company said: "Many congratulations to Cheryl Cole on her fantastic achievement.

"Other than X Factor winners, very few singles get anywhere near 300,000 sales in their first week.

"In doing just that this week, Cheryl has shown just what a favourite she is with the British music-buying public."

Burke's single Bad Boys, featuring US rap star Flo Rida, is now number two in the charts.

Whitney Houston forced her way into the top 10 with her single Million Dollar Bill claiming fifth spot.
