Jedward doing a track that isn't even Big Band at all but sure it will be so funny, they are just playing along with their media all and having a laugh about it all and the fact that it annoys Saint Cheryl and Simon makes it sweet. Their response to Cheryl Cole saying to them you can't sing by saying it's like you telling David Beckham he can't play football ROFL.

Darlo, I actually smile everytime I see them. They are sooooo growing on me. I started to cringe when I saw the red suits last week but by the end of the performance I thought, well done lads. Entertainment, pure and simple. At the beginning they were getting a roasting in the Irish Media. Everyone and their mother thought they were 'hideous', but now the tide is turning and they have quite a substantial fanbase.
Good on them I say! To their detractors I would say, lighten up!

X Factor twins John and Edward try out different hairstyles as they seek to forge their own identities

Their identity as identical twins won the heart of Louis Walsh - and their place in the X Factor live shows.

But it seems John and Edward Grimes may be attempting to forge individual identities.

The blonde 18-year-olds from Dublin stepped out of the X factor house today with noticeably different hair.

They've got different hair! But which one of the Grimes twins is John, and which one is Edward?

They've got different hair! But which one of the Grimes twins is John, and which one is Edward?

One, perhaps John, had flat hair - while the other had stuck to their distinctive spiked hairdo.

The two have consistently been mixed up since joining the show - by their fellow contestants, the judges and fans.

But if they continue to wear their hair differently it may soon be possible to tell them apart.

They're not quite there yet, though.

Tomorrow the remaining X Factor contestants, including John and Edward, will perform Big Band tracks for their chance to stay in the show.

They have spent this week being mentored by Canadian singing star Michael BublΓ©.

The jazz crooner has given them hints about how to do well in the show.

He previously performed on the X Factor in 2007, when he was impressed by the eventual winner Leon Jackson. Leon later joined BublΓ© onstage during his concert at Wembley.

But Leon's career has since stalled. He was dropped by his record label and has been eclipsed by the careers of other X Factor winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke.

STACEY’S STAR ATTRACTION

Stacey
ABOVE: Stacey is singing an emotional song this week
24th October 2009

By Katie Begley

CANADIAN crooner Michael BublΓ© gave the X Factor wannabes a masterclass in singing yesterday – and admitted he’s smitten with Stacey Solomon.

The singer, who will perform on tomorrow night’s show, gave a helping hand to all 10 remaining acts as they prepare to go head to head for survival.

But he confessed the dippy Essex girl had touched his heart.

β€œShe’s so cute!” said the 34-year-old star. And he revealed how Stacey’s song on tonight’s show is so emotional that she keeps breaking down sobbing while trying to rehearse it.

The name of the song is a closely-guarded secret, but Michael said: β€œI told her to go home, write out the lyrics, read and read and let the song do the work – do it for her little guy.”

The singer will show the wannabes how it’s done when he performs a track from his new album.

And he said he was delighted to be back on X Factor after coaching the class of 2007, including winner Leon Jackson, 23, and runner-up Rhydian Roberts, 26.

β€œIt’s great to be back,” he said. β€œLast time I had such a laugh with Rhydian and Leon and the rest, all hugely talented. It finished with me having Leon up on stage singing β€œHome” with me at Wembley. Amazing.

β€œPerhaps we do the same thing again this time around!”

Simon Cowell drops his pay from ITV to Β£5 million a year to stay with them.
It's going to mean buying less T-Shirts I suppose, and he'll have to give less to the Dogs home.
Poor Simon.

Simon Cowell takes a Β£3m pay cut to stay at ITV - Exclusive

And he insists he’s happy to do it

Simon Cowell is to sign a new ITV deal tying him to the channel for another two years – after agreeing a Β£3.5million pay CUT.

Instead of earning around Β£6.7million a year for producing and starring in X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, he will get an annual salary closer to Β£5million.

But Simon, 50, who is poised to sign the contract in days, is delighted, saying: β€œI wouldn’t work anywhere else.”

The acid-tongued judge is proud that the sixth series of X Factor has topped last year’s ratings. And he’s β€œcock-a-hoop” after Britain’s Got Talent became the most watched show of the last five years when 19million tuned in to see May’s final.

ITV bosses are thrilled their biggest star will remain through the recession, which has seen advertising revenues tumble.

Simon’s Β£10million earnings are tied into bumper production fees to his company Syco – soon to become Greenwell Entertainment after his link-up with retail mogul Philip Green. A source said: β€œThe deal ensures the budgets for the programmes Simon loves to make are left more or less intact.”

Simon said recently: β€œITV gave me my break and I’d never leave them. I have given my word, contract or no contract.”

Tonight’s X Factor sees the return of judge Louis Walsh, who has been absent since the sudden death of his close pal and protege, Boyzone singer Stephen Gately.

He will rejoin Simon, Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue

for the show, with crooner Michael Buble mentoring acts including twins John and Edward Grimes, Stacey Solomon and Lucie Jones.

Alexandra Burke has said that she is pleased that her single will be knocked off the number one spot in this week's record chart by her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole. The 2008 X Factor winner is set to see her single `Bad Boys' replaced at the top of the chart by Cheryl's debut solo single `Fight For This Love' when the official chart is revealed on Sunday.

Burke had the fastest-selling track of the year, clinching the number one spot on last week's chart, but she is set to be eclipsed by her X Factor mentor.

Alexandra told The Sun that she is 'pleased' that Cheryl will take the No1 slot in the charts.

She said: "Her performance on The X Factor was absolutely outstanding and I think she deserves it.

"I wish her every success."

Alexandra added that the Girls Aloud star's solo success proved that it was possible to make the transition from singing in a group.

Burke said: "She just proves the point that if you've been in a group and you want to leave a group and you have time off, you can still be successful."

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Cheryl's husband Ashley Cole has arranged a "massive bash" to celebrate her first solo No 1 record.

It is believed that the footballer will "whisk" Cheryl away from the studios after the results show on Sunday night to the party.

Simon Cowell in backstage row with X Factor singer Jamie Archer

Simon Cowell had a furious row with the X Factor's Jamie Archer after criticising his rehearsal, according to insiders on the show.

Jamie Archer and Simon Cowell: Simon Cowell in furious row with X Factor singer
Cowell, who is Archer's mentor, was angry after watching his rendition of the Elvis Presley song If I Can Dream

The pair argued for 25 minutes after the music mogul told Archer not to do the song he had chosen.

Cowell, who is Archer's mentor, was angry after watching his rendition of the Elvis Presley song If I Can Dream

He told 34-year-old Archer, who had been rehearsing the song all week: "That was well below par. You are finished if you sing that."

According to programme insiders Cowell said: "You need to change your song and start learning the lyrics fast or you are not just going to let yourself down – but you'll let me down too."

Cowell told him to sing the U2 hit Angel Of Harlem but Archer protested that he didn't know the words.

The pair then went to Cowell's dressing room and continued the row. Sources said their shouting could be heard along the corridor.

Cowell, 50, insisted he was simply showing Jamie some "tough love" – adding it was "just showbiz", The Sun reported.

But Archer was unhappy about switching songs. He said that with only 24 hours until tonight's live show, which sees the return of judge Louis Walsh, he would be underprepared if he tried to do a new song.

He went on to accuse Cowell of "wrecking this for me".

One source added: "They eventually calmed down but it got very heated – Jamie is absolutely shell-shocked by it all. We honestly thought he was just going to pack up his things and leave the show."

More panto villian stuff from the Cowell. Is there nothing this man won't do for ratings.
He may be considered a panto villain, but he's usually right, and I'd never bet against what he says.
A very clever feller, and if he tells you this.

------------
Then you can bet he is right, it just means that Archer had the wrong song for his voice or the song was too hard for him to sing.
