Well done JOE; a worthy winner.  Sorry Olly fans, but Olly was shit, and his singing was as flat as a squashed hedgehog on the M6!  Stacey had got pretty crap too, so Joe was the most obvious, and more worthy winner of the last 3.  It would have been a travesty if Olly had won, coz he was wank tonight, and not brilliant in the last few weeks TBH.  Joe has a lovely personality too, as well as being a really good singer and performer...  The most worthy winner ever IMO.

That is coz Cheryl is a stuck up little cow who thinks she is an amazing talent and a national treasure Darlo.  She is neither; she is a pointless waste of space, and I can't stand her!  She is so up herself!  I am sure she thinks that the X factor would finish without her, and the world would stop turning without her too!  I wish she would fall off the face of the planet!

Haven't read through all of this cos I've been away tossing, but I think Olly outperformed Joe tonight. He had more fire in his belly, Joe just looked like he had more teeth.

However, I'm so glad Stacey didn't make it to the final. If it had been her and Joe it would have turned into the Grand National.

My one disappointment (as said on my FB) is that Cheryl Trog won. Again. Hopefully next year she wont be available cos she'll be off breeding a few sprogs and breastfeeding on a bus somewhere.

Or are you just jealous of someone who is young, gorgeous and successful?
I have no jealousy for successful people dear, I have admiration. And that's if they've become successful through sheer hard work, talent and determination.

I do not admire fake big haired, over made up bints who think tottering around in free Louboutins and having Simon Cowell wanting to flick their bean makes them an indespensible national treasure.

I don't buy the national treasure stuff either Karmel, but I think she gets far too much stick than she deserves.
Reading this thread, you'd think Hitler had just became priminister of this country or something.

Why is it that most people who don't like Cheryl Cole are accused of jealousy?
Not when they don't like her, just when they are down right nasty about her and get so passionately worked up over her and appear to want her to fail miserably in everything she does and in some cases want her to die.(there are people who I've known to say things along those lines I kid you not).

For me those are true signs of jealousy.

Nutjobs thats wrong. At the moment some people are getting worked up about Cheryl Cole because she's everywhere, in some cases not her fault as she has commitments etc but the over exposure is what they are sick of.

I don't like Cheryl, don't wish her any harm whatsoever and I certainly ain't jealous at least I can give her credit for working her way up to do what she wants unlike some people in the UK.

If she is over-rated, then it's hardly her fault that people over-rate her. Like I think John Terry is over-rated, but I don't blame him because he can't help it that people think he is the best defender in the world.

I suppose if I was a girl I maybe wouldn't like her as much as I do Although I do not just like her for her looks believe me.

I've not been impressed with this year's X Factor. Of the ones chosen to go through a lot of the better singers got voted off either by the public or the judges. No surprise when a judge votes a better singer off as they all have their personal agenda for personal success and money.

Over the years a few have had a career which has lasted beyond X Factor whether they won or not. Will be interesting to see if we're still hearing about them in 10years in the same way we're still aware of the really greats that have stayed in the business for many many years. Personally it's hard to imagine but I hope they all enjoy whatever success comes their way for however long

Joe has a personality?

As is traditional, The X Factor's public vote percentages have been released (large version here, ITV site here), and they make for some interesting reading. The most conspiracy theorist-friendly week seems to be Show 7, which was the first show for some time in which the judges didn't take the decision to the public vote, ensuring that least popular singer Olly was kept in the competition.
-----------------------
Isn't it strange that the one week when Olly would have been kicked out of the competition they decided to kick the Twins out instead of Olly, but the Twins had more votes from the public.
I wonder why they didn't go to the public vote?

That would have completely changed the face of the competition wouldn't it?

A record 19 million watch Joe win The X Factor

The X Factor's biggest ever audience, which peaked at more than 19 million, watched teenager Joe McElderry triumph in Sunday's final.

The ITV1 show had an average audience of 15.5 million, while 19.1 million tuned in to see him announced the winner at 9.15 pm.

That was 53 per cent of the entire TV viewing audience and compared to 4.7 million watching the British Sports Personality of the Year on BBC One, according to unofficial overnight figures.

Last year's final, won by Alexandra Burke, had a then record average of 13.2 million viewers, peaking with 14 million.

The Media Guardian reports that The X factor was the biggest-rating show on any channel since England played in the Euro 2004 football tournament.

The judges can only select the talent from those that come forward.

From 200,000 you have to end up with 12, which they did, but they know from the beginning who they want to win.

This year they all, except Dannii went for Olly, so he was supposed to win obviously.

But Joe came up and over took him because Olly should have gone out week 7 when he had the least public votes but it didn't go to the public vote because they wanted Olly to stay in.
