.I would just like to put the record straight, once and for all. Louis Walsh is a close, personal friend of mine and of my family for MANY years. YES!! Louis IS gay and his "so called AGED Mother" has known this from the beginning!! Louis has always been open about his sexuality and "came out" MANY years ago while in his teens!! And just so as you know - I am from Dublin, Ireland.

I am from Dublin too and I have never heard him or any of the social circle in Dublin admit that he is and I am in an industry where it is more than acceptable to be whatever orientation one chooses to be.
However, due to your post, which I might add was a tad aggressive,(why the shouting) I am happy to know from the horses mouth so to speak,. (Well as a personal friend of his family and Louis himself thats near enought for me) that he is indeed gay. Not that it matters in the slightest anyway, I dislike him for his barbed comments to contestants and his inflication of Boyzone and Westlife on the world.

I really wish they'd do away with the "themed" weeks. Let them sing what they want. Ridiculous expecting a rock singer to sing Britney etc.
Never did understand the reason for the themes, it just seems stupid to me and can never benefit the contestants.
Crazy.

I have never read anything where Louis Walsh said he was gay.  I don't think his Wiki page says he is gay.

Perhaps you are all too young to have been reading the newspapers when Stephen Gately came out as being gay.

Louis was a wonderful support to Stephen at that time and throughout his career.

Only a matter of weeks before Stephen's tragic death, he stated in an interview about how helpful Louis was to him and mentioned, quite clearly, that the fact that Louis was, himself, gay, helped him enormously.

Louis has never been "in your face" about his sexuality - but has never denied it.

What publication did the late and sorely missed Stephen state that Louis was gay and a great help to him.? Honestly, hand on my heart I never saw or read that in any publication. It simply wasn't written (imo)

I loved Stephen, despite my dislike for Boyzone and was truly devastated when he passed away. I had the pleasure to meet him throught work and he was a little gentleman and a darling. RIP
Look Annoca, bottom line is, to my knowledge and many more forum members on here tonight,we have never, but never, ever seen any mention of Louis being gay.

Moreover I would hazard a guess that we never will.
Anyway lifes too short to be discussing Louis Walsh, gay or not.
Goodnight me dear, I wish you a pleasant evening, I'm popping over to the jungle.

NO need to be so condesending Fairfax.

I have five sons who are all in the entertainment business.  The members of Boyzone and Westlife are all personal, family friends.  If I had a penny for every time the lads were in my home, I would be a rich lady.

I could name many more "celebrities" who are close friends - but will refrain.

Just because you haven't seen anything written or viewed/heard any interviews, does NOT make it fact!!

No one is being condesending ANNOCA. Its called politeness and manners. I was being nice to you.
Regrettably, it is something that you have not displayed this evening with your shouting and stating your opinions as facts.
Quite frankly I could care less about your celebrity friends or associated status. I take people as I find them irrespective of how 'famous they are' and certainly don't have to come on a forum and boast about it.  Not cool at all. But as the saying goes, different strokes for different folks. Perhaps because you are so close to Louis and his band members where his sexuality is obviously openly discussed you assume it has gone to print. It never has and never will...In My Opinion.

I don't know whether Louis is gay or not, but it grates on my last nerve, when people name drop and have to tell people that they know loads of famous people.  IMO name dropping is so vulgar.  (That is one thing that pisses me off about George Hamilton, along with the yawnworthy and nauseous 'gigilo' act.)  Name dropping is as bad as bragging about how rich you are or how much certain things cost.  Vomitisation!  It's like you're trying to make other peope jealous, when in actual fact, most people couldn't give a sh*t how much you have spent, how much you earn or who you know.  Why do people feel the need to tell?  Or brag about how much they spent on something they bought to wear or whatever?

My other half has a female cousin aged 55, who claims she has met lords and sheikhs, and royalty and all sorts, and she claims that she knews rock stars from the 60s and 70s like the Beatles, and Cilla Black and Elvis, yet I haven't seen one shred of proof whatsover to back up anything she said.  Not ONE photo or anything.  I have met a few celebs at conventions and openings of things, (like many have,) although I know no-one personally, and I have photos of everyone I saw.  (Some with me on the photo too...)

I once worked with a woman when I lived down south, who was one of the most pleasant women I ever knew and was so down to earth and ordinary.  3 months after she left our workplace, I found out she was married to George Michael's cousin!  Yet she never ever mentioned it at the time.  If you've got it, it's not always cool to flaunt it, and you can come across as very crass and vulgar.  And in the vast majority of cases, people are usually exaggerating or lying.  Especially on the internet LOL.

Shizzlex
Oh the Danyl and Lloyd rumour... so not true.

Louis Walsh is gay, i've known that for ages, good for him.

Seen the second bit at my aunties. Lloyd was ok still awful but better than last week, Danyl i'm bias but I thought he was great, Olly was better, loved Saturday but I don't like the drunken uncle/dad dancing. Stacey disappointment but she has the voice but we was getting seriously peed off when she speaks it's like Lauren Cooper. Joe was brilliant as always he made me smile. Lots of emotion in his second song he will be a deserving winner better than Strolly lol.
