I guess you like her Darlo, but she's not my cup of tea.  Bit fed up of these young girls being shoved down our throat these days, as so called 'mega talented' innovative new female artists of the decade, after one or two hits.  And most of them are straight out of stage school, and are all quite predictable and dull and samey IMO.

And don't get me started on Lady GAGA!  Over-rated much?!  And another two I can't bear are Adele and Duffy.  What on earth happened to them?  And also Gabriella Cilmi?  They faded without a trace...

John & Edward 'forced to change song'

ITV

X Factor contestants John & Edward have reportedly been forced to change the song they are performing on tonight's show at the last minute.

The teenagers were due to attempt Queen's hit 'Radio Ga Ga', but have been advised to try the band's 1981 collaboration with David Bowie 'Under Pressure' instead, according to The Mirror.

A show insider told the newspaper: "The twins were struggling a bit with 'Radio Ga Ga' so a decision was made to change their song.

"But they're freaking out now as they're having problems remembering the words for 'Under Pressure' and they're worried they'll mess it up.

"For the past few weeks, their performances have been ambitious but there is no big production to hide behind this time.

"There's some big notes in this song too so that's another worry."

Last week, John and Edward were in the bottom two but were saved by the public vote after Simon Cowell decided to go to deadlock.

The twins' mentor Louis Walsh revealed that he will be delighted if the 18-year-olds can survive another week.

He said: "I'm worried about them going home. If we get through I'll be so happy."

The X Factor continues tonight at 8pm on ITV1.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/medi...x-factor-killing-pop Rather a thought provoking article.
Interesting article.

I don't think the X Factor supports pop - I think it supports Simon Cowell.

The standard gets worse each year. Most of `em don't know how to use their voice.

Even worse they are not original. They are all copy-cat singers. Nobody seems to bring anything unique to the programme. I think it is one big con.

Brisket I agree with you.

I do watch the show but I think it does nothing for popular music at all - just light entertainment really.

It's a shame they can't express themselves a bit more and have to be forced to conform to a "type" every week.
