Ethan looks the part, true.
But I`m afraid I can`t stand people who sing with their eyes closed.
I feel singers should be communicating with their audience, and one important way of doing that is to look at them.
I hate the eyes shut business. It blocks me out.

yeh the eyes thing annoyed me too but he has got an amazing voice and as u say the look

I dunno if it's possible to sing a song with genuine feeling all the way through without closing your eyes, especially when you hit the high notes I'm the opposite, I dont like to watch someone gaping at their audience the whole way through. I get more of a connection if there's variety in their performance.

Oh God Ethan nearly gave me whiplash Don't overly rate his voice though. Like I said on my FB, ditch the music, get an agent and get thee arse to Hollywood. Could just see him doing 90210 and the odd chick flick.

I was out last night too -  did like Ethan though.   I'm liking the fact that this year the male contestants aren't all singing 'Home' or 'You raise me up' - we're getting some proper songs and it's making such a difference.
