Did he not say it was a rolling event? So it will have happened in some parts of the world before it reaches others.

I presume he has decided it will start at the international date line as that's where 6pm on the 21st May will be first. So it will be several hours before it reaches America.

Either that or they will have eternal TV in wherever they (and he'll obviously be one) have been raptured to.
