One of those auditioning as a contestant is Bernie Clifton who became known in the 70s and 80s as an entertainer riding an ostrich called Oswald.

He's doing it to show that there's more to him than just the ostrich so don't expect to see Oswald,

I have seen picture of him at one of my ex-colleagues summer garden parties. He was there as an "entertainer".

She has never answered the question as to whether he was worth the money or not.

I've found a clip of Bernie Clifton singing a duet with "C H". He seems to be a better singer than she is.

Shame the Irish girl let the occasion get to her as she had a nice voice.
