I loves a good twist me. What were your favourite, MAJOR twists, per series?

PUBLIC NOM's ... its mega and really is a "put up or shut up" task
I don't really like the twists. I prefer them to just put in X number of hms at the beginning and see how they all get on together and how it develops.
I think most of the twists are a distraction. That (along with the really biased editing and presentation) is one of the reasons I haven't watched the last couple of series
Not a big fan of the twists either.
I notice that you've missed out one of the biggest and most significant of the BB4 twists: multiple evictions. BB4 was the first time they did that, with Jon and Fed going on the same night. The loss of the only two HMs who were actually doing anything entertaining pretty-much killed off BB4, and the repeated use of multiple evictions has been almost certainly the most damaging form of eviction manipulation within BB: just look at the way that the mass cull at the end of BB11 killed that series off as a competition and gave Josie a clear run to the title...

I've always maintained that BB4 could have been good if Endemol hadn't interfered so much.
There were some problems with HM selection: e.g. Scott looked really interesting on paper (and was favourite for most of the show), but was boring in practise because he was too cagey and refused to reveal too much of himself in front of the cameras.
However, the real problem was that BB4 was the series in which instead of trusting the format, the producers got caught up in the idea that they were in control and they knew best about how to design a "light entertainment" show: hence all the manipulation. The producers genuinely thought they were being terribly clever with things like the trip to South Africa, but the fans really ddn't care because it had little to do with the concept of BB. The loss of Jon and Fed on the same night (and then having the eviction survivor Cameron leave the house for South Africa shortly afterwards) created an enormous hole which BB was then forced to create even more twists to try and fill. The result was the whole thing spiralling downwards...
I would actually say Anoushka being evicted first began the downward spiral of BB4.
You've got some memory Rawky
I would actually say Anoushka being evicted first began the downward spiral of BB4.
Yeah, that didn't help. I would say though that:
(a) She'd probably have gone the first time she was up whatever happened, and
(b) We can only guess at what effect she'd have had if she'd stayed longer: the power of the "get-along gang" was so strong, she'd may well have joined it. (Look at the way Justine turned on the "outsider" Jon, for example.)
Anoushka's eviction is often put down to the first night nominations, but I would say it also had a lot to do with possibly the worst ever choice of "going in" costume ever. Anoushka had (perhaps understandably) "dressed to impress", but unfortunately for her everyone-else went in dressed casually. She therefore stood out like a sore thumb, and really wound-up the "teenage girl-with-mobile" crowd watching.
The other thing is that if she hadn't gone, the frst eviction would have been between Scott (who ideally should have gone, but was favourite and therefore totally safe), Fed and Jon (the only two HMs who actually provided any entertainment in the first few weeks). Not likely to have been a good result either way.
Personally, I would have liked to have seen Lisa in from week one, and no first-week evictions at all. Those are for other discussions, though...
Lisa who could kill you with these two fingers?
I'd forgotten about her. I seem to remember she had an asthma attack (or was accused of it) whenever exertion was required!
I think many of the twists over the years made things worse. I hated first night nominations, and first week evictions, couldn't understand why the group weren't allowed to settle in for 2 weeks and get to know each other(and for us the viewers to get to know them before we picked up the phone to evict them!).
One of the best twists IMO was during the pirate task, when BB played the bitchiness of certain HMs on the plasma for all to see! It was BB6. Although it wasn't a twist really was it.....it was a punishment.
The reward room in BB4 got really predictable, I thought.
I did like the Mario the Mole task in BB11, and the BB6 one where Makosi was the unlucky
housemate. The secretive twists can be the most entertaining if the right person is chosen to undertake the task.
I remember Scott BB4, he said the most interesting things when he was asleep, didn't he?
