That'll be the least of his problems.

Of course, yes. I did not think of the wider issues.

I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for this girl.

Her Dad seems to be quite strong in his opinions, in particular about not letting his little girl attend school.

She seems like a bright and sweet girl.

She does doesn't she.

I am not so keen on the level of indoctrination. I think she needs a wider social experience.

I think she realises that too, hence her request to attend school on a full time basis.

I quite enjoyed it. Caused a fair amount of 'discussion' in here with me Mr Woo and his mate (well it's my sons mate really he comes to play chess with Mr Woo).

They thought the eejit father was right to punish the little boy by making him go to bed cos he wouldn't eat his dinner. I was/am adamant that you shouldn't punish over 'eating' all kids are different. Not really a 'punishable' offence IMO - can go on to all sorts of probs.

For anyone who's interested. That horrible little brat Hugo was knocked out of the 'child genius' programme last night.

Real insight at the end as to why he's like he is. All along his parents shrugged their shoulders at how exasperating and exhausting he was as if they had no say in it.

TBH - I feel incredibly sorry for his younger brother. Hugo could do with some lessons in manners from the wonderful Longyin.

A heads-up for those who've been catching up with the repeats of "Sherlock":

BBC1 is repeating series 2, starting with "A Scandal in Belgravia" at 8.30pm this Friday.

If you haven't seen this episode before, it's an absolute corker, centred around an updated interpretation of "the woman", Irene Adler.

It will cross the live BB eviction, of course, so one for the recorder...

Missed last weeks.

This is like gypsy rogue traders

Last week was awful, about how a feud is dealt with by hurting anyone with the same name... a 4yr old girl was in a house set alight and badly burned (that was one little story in the show)

Don't forget Luther starts tonight on BBC1 at 9.00pm!

Also want to mention that More4 will be airing a new series at 9.00pm on Thursday. It's called Scandal and is about a female spin-doctor in the White House. I've read good and also bad things about it but will give it a go. And if you do and find it rubbish, please let us know!

ahem...   guess what?  It's actually the second series Xochers - I liked the first one, but felt about guilty about it at the same time      Briefly.. in case it doesn't recap - she used to be a White House aide and had an affair with the President (who's in a dead marriage with a harridan first lady) - the affair is over, but she's just been recruited back to the job at the end of the first series.

Should probably add - she runs a business as a 'fixer' employing a group of maverick ex lawyers/journos/people with dodgy pasts who get people out of difficult situations and stuff.
