I saw something on YouTube last week. It was a fans review of his music collection which included a lot of Bowie albums. He made reference to the alleged fact that Bowie makes albums in threes (although not explicitly publicised).

He highlighted the albums made during heavy drug use, the Berlin trilogy and the crap trilogy!

Now that is one fans view, but it does make me want to know more. The documentary is a must - I have no recorder, so watching it is the way for me.

How do you cope?!!    I love my Tivo box almost as much as I love t'interweb.  I'd be lost without either.

Kaffy! You and I must have the same recordings!  Do you reckon there are enough Dr Who fans to start a thread? And John Simm is always a cert -  he was brilliant in Mad Dogs. Scott and Bailey on ITV2, isn't it?

I was a Dr Who fan, and I guess I am still (albeit of the older series). So I would be happy for a thread, but I would be more critical of the current Dr and the story lines - I think they are weak at best.

So if you can tolerate or want my twopeneth, then I'm in.

... but I'm gonna talk about Tom Baker - lol

I've had two in the past, both now broken and I've never replaced. But I realised I taped and watch far too much. This way I watch less and pick and choose what I really want to see. I do use iPlayer on my 46" Samsung LED TV occasionally. Fortunately I can't stand soaps or most things which run regularly.

Great! It should be a thread for discussing and arguing Conthusiams. So watch and join in. I have a friend over tomorrow but will start a thread before it starts.

I guess you know I've already got that set to record too then?

Ahh...I'm not that picky!  Corrie's the only soap I watch, but I do watch quite a lot of 'series'    I hardly ever watch anything 'live' though - I go through the telly mag once a week and set everything I want to see to record then watch what I want when I feel like it.  I do have rather a lot to choose from though!

Now sit and enjoy,,, give me your thoughts on Winter's Bone afterwards please... its a brilliant film... tell me you think?

My TV allows me to set programmes to change channel when they start. So I have clicked onto Winter's Bone and set it to "Watch Timer".

Your right about AD, they are repeated endlessly.

Yeah; "Winter's Bone" is excellent. Jennifer Lawrence got her first Oscar nomination for it.

The late film on BBC1 is quite good too, but very different: "Son of Rambow". Although I find the scheduling baffling: it's essentially a kids movie, but they've got it at 11.50pm?

yep

a bit like his dad

he shot the old girl then told everyone to accept his son!

shame its only 3parts

but being human only started as a one off & people asked BBC for more episodes

so you never know..

Well, it's implied that Kieron committed suicide after Rick was "killed" on duty, so yeah: it must have been pretty intense - even if only one-way...

As for more episodes: I hope so, and it has been hinted, but I'm not optimistic. BBC3 have had to slash their drama budget, which is why "Being Human" ended. "The Fades" looked very good, but got scrapped after 6 episodes. As for "Being Human", remember the pilot for that was commissioned as part of a competition, and even with a lot of public support it had difficulty getting made into a full series...

did anyone in here watch labyrinth?  Am I going mad, was it a repeat? I have read the book [maybe even played the PC game I think, if there is one, am none to sure of anything nowadays] and was thinking is that why it seems so familiar but then so did the actors faces and that can't be from just reading the book.. yet there's no 'repeat' mark in my TV listings. .it's been bugging me all night

Suppose there is one advantage of getting older and brain falling out. . Repeats are not repeats.. just a sense of Deja vu

I'm sure i've watched a film called Labyrinth Olly, my memory of things like this has always been iffy at best so i googled and found links to this interview http://www.katemosse.co.uk/ It shows a pic of cast and crew in sept 2011 so i assume it was made around then, which means it cant be the same as the  film i watched as im sure i watch it before then.

I missed it was it any good? ~I might try and catch up on it and record the 2nd part if it was.

thanks Jen... I am fairly sure it has been shown before. .or I have seen it in a parallel life

I like that sort of stuff so it is good if you are into stuff like that as well.. it was lauded as a heck of a lot better than the Da Vinci Code.. it flits between now and 800 yrs ago.. I liked the book as well. .don't usually like to watch something if I have read the book too but they seem to be fairly faithfully to it

I think you'd need to watch the first part before you see the second bit or you could get a tad confused

Mount Olympus *Olly*

I've been watching Ashley Banjo's Secret Street Crew on Sunday's. 7pm on Sky 1. Every week he and others from Diversity teach a group of friends/workmates who can't dance a routine to learn in secret from their families. Lots of rehearsals and hard work to perfect the routine before performing it at an event in front of their shocked family/friends.
