The examples you cite are accepted shortened forms (with the exception of 'wooder'!) and are taught as such to those learning English grammar; the apostrophe is used to replace omitted letters.

I find that some dialects are a bit mad.

My mum is scottish and she always quotes "It's a braw, bricht, moon licht nicht the nicht." , which translates to "It's a nice, bright, moonlit night tonight."

I meant in correspondence sorry ..I find on here anything goes and half the time I say things wrongly, thinking they are correct anyway

Not as clearly as 'of' more like an unstressed vowel followed by a 'v' but has a similar sound to 'of'.
