I've had a look on the Social Strata blog and they have changed the smiley box as you have noticed.

They say that custom avatars can be added to the exisiting ones - this can only be done by the administrators though.

I don't know what the height and width limits are though.

Does anyone else have to keep signing in when they come in here? since we had to agree to the new terms and conditions i have to keep signing in when before i just stayed logged in all the time, i've clicked the remember me button but it's asking me to sign in

I almost never log out Aimee, so don't usually need to worry about that. However I DID sign off the other day for some reason and found, like you, that I actually had to enter my details when I tried to sign on again, even though I had the 'remember me' button checked.

Aimee, I haven't had to log in since agreeing to the new terms & conditions.

Check to see if your cookies are being cleared automatically when you quit the browser.

Aimee, it depends on which browser you are using.

Firefox - Tools - Options - Privacy - near the bottom of that page check to make sure Clear History when Firefox closes is not ticked. If it is ticked than your cookies get deleted whenever you close Firefox.

Internet Explorer 8 (may be different for other versions)

This is a two stage check.

From Tools - Internet Options - General. Under browsing history you can select whether or not to Delete browsing history on exit.

From Tools - Delete Browsing History - you can select if you want Cookies to be deleted.

If you've got the Delete browsing history on exit to be on AND you have got cookies selected in the Delete Browsing History then every time you leave IE you are deleting the cookies.

If the cookie is getting deleted every time it would slow things a bit but not much.

Im on Mozilla Firefox and i've had a look and the only thing i could find in the list was Form and search history which was ticked did you mean that one?

You can find that in HELP - About Firefox. The exact wording often differs from version to version.

The way they look can differ depending on what OS, Browser and versions of each.

I know Fluffy, what I should have said they look same to me on the chrome browser... if I use FF they look bigger. Although still the same size as before  I know what I mean, even if I've lost everyone else  

I.m on FF12 and they look absolutely tiny to me, about half the size they were before, while the box is double the size it was before. Result being that all the smileys show in the box.

yes, the box is bigger, I just think it's giving the illusion of the smiley's being smaller. the box is a lot bigger on chrome too
