I was in the kitchen this Morning and heard a noise, looked down, and there he was, the Squirrel had returned....looking up at me

it was only about a foot away from me as well....

I put some monkey nuts down for it and off it scarpered to hide it, then 2 minutes later it was back for another

I gave it brazil nuts this time and it promptly ran over to the flower pots in the garden to hide them...

I was there ages, it kept coming back and even came right through the kitchen into the back room, cheeky little thing....I took some pics and was going to load them onto here (somehow), however this damn PC a work won't let me....very inconvenient....

Anyway, it made me smile this morning, such a simple thing

I don't want it to get too tame though and I have to keep the dog in the other room while I put nuts down for it....it's certainly stocking up for the winter now....I must remember NOT to dig in my flower pots, I don't wanna confuse the little cutie...

I saw an old couple walking down the street the other day holding hands, that made me smile as well

We have a robin who comes every year to our garden he/she hops around and will perch on your chair (while your sitting in it) this year they're two of them. They are hopping around the garden. Under the trampoline and hopping around the benches.

We have had foxes in our garden over summer they have been collecting fallen apples, I think they may have been living in a corner of our garden which is very large but I havent seen them for a couple of weeks, as for the squirrels they have had every hazelnut off my tree we dont stand a chance.

I love watching the birds in the little tree outside my kitchen window as they chomp away at the food I put out for them. They are so funny.

Also, long walks on the Quantocks at the weekend. It's so beautiful and quiet up there - makes you feel glad to be alive.

Very true about Robins,the males are highly territorial and will drive other robins away,even their own offspring one they have fully fledged.They have been known to figh to the death with other males.

one of my dogs smiles jaggy
its a big, lips back, teeth showing smile and she sort of twists her nose aswell-everyone who comes here thinks its great

the older dog is a bit more 'boring' but he's learnt a new trick-he sometimes runs around in tiny circles..stops..then changes direction-he has me in bits when he does that!
so basically my little joys are my mad greyhounds

and when OH buys me beer all night-thats another free simple pleasure
