Plus I am sure there will be OTHER channels without coverage, like on satellite,. (And I am SURE most of the 'Royal whingers' on here have got satellite.)  Put something ELSE on and let people enjoy it who aren't msierable Royal family haters!  Jeeez, what is the MATTER with people?!  Lighten up FFS!
Your point is ???

Lori, I disagree with Katty TOTALLY, (about it being all bollocks..)  but then I am a huge Royal family fan.     People seem to be divided on here, but in my world of work colleagues and neighbours and family and friends, we're all very excited, because as someone said earlier, there hasn't been a royal wedding of this magnitude for 30 years.  Even Andy and Edward getting married didn't rouse so much fascination and interest... I also have some friends and family overseas across the pond, and they are majorly excited too.  I saw on the telly the other day that the Americans are really looking forward to it.

I think Kate is lovely and William is adorable and they make a lovely couple, and I wish nothing but happiness for them both....   And I must admit that it makes me a little sad when people bash the royals, and I think it's a shame that people want to dismiss the whole thing and poo poo it as some pointless ridiculous over hyped event that shouldn't even be happening.... Where I come from, we are all very patriotic and old fashioned and traditional and wouldn't miss it for the world....  I mean it's the future KING getting married, and they are a lovely couple.   We are all having a huge bash in my street, with all our neighbours and family, like we did for the Queen's silver jubilee in 1977.  There is probably going to be about 100 people, so I hope it doesn't rain as it's going to be outside!

All I can say is that if people don't want to join in and want to close the curtains and switch off the telly and miss it all, then that's up to them; you can't force people to have fun.

I wonder if we do too.  In fact I'd love to see Ireland's face if our Taoiseach turns around and tells us we have a day off because of the Royal wedding
......but you'd all still take the holiday, and call it something else while you nose at the telly.....I would

Poor Trollop, you need to crochet a hat for him.
I did already.  Well I say hat, but it was actually an egg cosy.

I agree. I'm quite sure that on a personal level they'd love to slip away and have a fun day with friends and family. He is the future King and obviously has to adhere to protocol............they really can't win.
