I tried to book a room for a meeting at work for Friday the 29th April. The woman said "oh no its a bank holiday so we will not be here".  "Why have we got a bank holiday on a Friday ?" says I. " It's the wedding isn't it?" She said.I didn't know, for a split second what she was talking about. Then the penny dropped

I am pleased cos it is a day off and also we then have bank holiday Monday. I will be watching it, not cos I am an ardent royalist but because I do like a bit of pomp and circumstance and also it will be good to celeb watch and be bitchy about the dresses.
I am sure there will be a thread on here about it as well so no doubt I will be having a bit of a laugh as well.

Do you think we will have any choice but to watch it?

Pretty much every radio station will be covering it..   dunno how many of the telly channels will *is grateful we have digital telly this time..   the wedding can't monopolise all 300 & odd channels*

I will probably have the odd look..     the bit where she rocks up at the church (or cathedral or whatever) to see what the dress is like etc.

OMG I can't believe how bloody grumpy some people are.    FFS just stay in bed for the day if you don't want to watch it.  It's the future King of the United Kingdom getting wed and there hasn't been such an event for THIRTY YEARS.  If it affects your life so badly, (you grumpies who seem to detest the Royals so much,) then turn off the telly and radio for that ONE DAY.

Plus I am sure there will be OTHER channels without coverage, like on satellite,. (And I am SURE most of the 'Royal whingers' on here have got satellite.)  Put something ELSE on and let people enjoy it who aren't msierable Royal family haters!  Jeeez, what is the MATTER with people?!  Lighten up FFS!

I don't pay for it,my niece does even though she's now moved out into a place of her own,I have a few months of stuff for her to catch up on.She's went for BT vision in her flat, but she can't get freeview as the communal aerial is faulty, she's been trying to get the factor to sort it for weeks,so she has no Freeview channels or terrestial channels.Just BT on demand, lol.

Even if it were being shown on every possible channel, you don't actually have to have the TV/radio on.

I don't imagine a massive meringue this time.....well there are a mixture of guests from all walks of life, so there should be some catastrophic outfits to giggle over, as well as some really nice ones....What's the bets that Beatrice and Eugenie look minging?
