We've just had the spectacle of them practising their routines over our house! They had the multicoloured smoke and everything - it was great!!

Remember years ago they were staying in a hotel where we were having my gran's 80th birthday party. One of them asked reception if there was anything going on in the hotel that night or should they go into town, he misheard and thought they said 18th so they stuck around LOL. Imagine their faces when my gran and all her friends showed up Actually they were great fun, really joined in and I was only about 19 at the time saw 'twas all good
i worked near scampton and often saw them practising, doing supply one little boy pointed to them and said "daddy" "daddy", there were a lot of raf kids so didn't really think anything of it until "daddy" turned up

I remember i saw them once at my friends wedding. they were having their pictures taken in the grounds of a this beautiful country house they got married in and the red arrows just appeared over the hill. It was picture perfect as they flew right over them with all the smoke etc. I said....."That was my present"
We had them here a couple of weeks ago as we live near Newcastle Airport...brill
They fly here twice every year. Once in Torbay (Torquay) which is pretty average and then again a week later at Dartmouth which is amazing. It's better at Dartmouth as it is in a deep valley over a river so you can't see them change positions and things like you can out over the open bay in Torbay as they hide behind the hills before coming over the top and then down into the valley. Also they fly right down low just above the boats in the river so they seem like they are only 30 or 40 feet over the top of your head. I do love them, but in the past two or three years they have been upstaged by the Eurofighter displays. That thing is bloody amazing and very LOUD!!!
Ooops double post

Was shopping in Helensburgh a few years ago when they flew over. Absolutely jaw droppingly magnificent. Was with American rellies, and they were gobsmacked!
they were doing a display over otterburn a few weeks back and we stood on the fell tops and watched them. sometimes they were screaming down the valleys below us and coming so low over the hills you could see the pilots. 'citing!
They come to Jersey every September, we have one of the biggest air displays last 3 hours, when they practice and during air display, you can advoid them here, they come right over, very low as we haven't got tall buildings

Wow! Thats mustve been brilliant Wish theyd come over this way and do it
I'm lucky enough to live very near where they are based, and look forward to the winter months when they return to practice.
Though I see them regularly, it still gives me goosebumps when they are flying.
