I don't know if anyone would be interested in this programme, (BBC2). Based on the book\film Best Exotic Marigold Hotel it features 8 aging (and fairly famous) Britons who take up residence in a hotel in India to see whether or not they could cope with retiring there.
Miriam Margolyes looks as though she will be a bit of a laugh.
It's a bit like CBB, only with celebrities.

D'oh! I replied about this in the tv thread. Yes, I'm planning on watching it at some point too - loved both of the films but I doubt this will be quite so endearing (watchable though!) 
And if they fail to pay the bills it certainly will a 'marigold' hotel for them 
Now I hope you saw what I did there??

Yes, I think it will be a good series. First episode was quite interesting and told us a bit about the caste system ( in between shots of Miriam retrieving bits of food from her cleavage).
Haven't seen the second film yet but loved the book and the first film.
One or two in this series have the potential to be rather annoying
I thought about it, then thought, well this is just a holiday for a few ageing celebs who in reality will never live the rest of their lives in Indian.
Having said that, the scenery may be of interest and in HD should look good.
Quite a moving episode last night (and not just from the stomach upsets)
A vist to the Taj Mahal was accompanied by lots of reflection and a fair bit of weeping from our plucky pensioners

I can, however, see how some folk could take agin it.
This is one of the few programmes that Mr Yogi and I are both enjoying.

Miriam Margoles is usually good value Xochi Her Dame Maggie Smith impersonation is one of my favourite ever moments on Graham Norton!
