Well I would hope my day has been better than yours sounds

Had to catch the train to come over to Dad's.......got soaked through as it is wet and windy here.
Changed clothing once here then set to sorting out Dad's washing machine...it wasn't spinning properly...so got down on my hands and knees to see to the outlet pipe...only to get soaked again
Am now sat in a third outfit of the day

I shall be picking my moment very carefully as to when I leave to return home

Good grief You’ve had a day and a half ! I hope you mange to get home again without having to use a fourth outfit .
