Hi Slim Wow , that’s really quickâ€Ķ.are you sure it’s wise to ditch them quite yet â€Ķit’s only two weeks , isn’t it .

Hey Baz
Feels okay...it wasn't a full on break like yours was...and only on the side of my foot...not my ankle or such like.
Infact....had my son drive me out to Milber woods for a gentle stroll... in a pair of dappy shoes
Got other parts of my foot feeling a little tender cos of compensating, but generally am okay.....not gonna start running just yet mind
The woods were lovely...see 365 ....no one there but my son & me....heaven

Oh ok Yes, I managed to smash mine in several places â€Ķon both sides of the ankle â€Ķ.hence the pins , plates etc. Who would have thought falling down just two stairs could do so much damage , eh Nice that you could drive out to the woods though . One of the biggest regrets I have is that I never learned to drive â€Ķ..my life would be so much easier if I had .

I got my provisional with the intention of getting on the road....posted it on t'other place last Jan, but then the pandemic got in the way........ made some enquiries recently....have been told there is a backlog so may have to wait a little longer......well at least until my foot is better huh
Who knows...in a few months I may be able to come pick you up for a visit to Devon

Will you have a go at continuing?

I took lessons many years ago....I was paying for my sister to have them as a thank you for letting me & the children stay with her and thought if she was having them , then so should I....but was not keen tbh and gave up after about 10 lessons.

I doubt I will now Slim. I did have lessons back in the 1970s â€Ķ.and got as far as my test , but then I found out I was pregnant with my son â€Ķ.we had been trying for a long time , so I was scared the stress of the driving test might cause a miscarriage â€Ķ.so cancelled it â€Ķ..and have not really  driven since .

That's a shame

Good move with the cookies . I’m sure you will make it to the station , just take it easy .  I could hardly make it from the lounge to the kitchen this time last year , now I’m up to about 4/5 k .

Yes, I don’t know why I hadn’t thought about it before â€Ķ.it wasn’t until Ros mentioned it that I thought about it . I am finding carrying watering cans around a bit much at the moment â€Ķ.plus I can use it to clean patio . I do have a hose , but the connection doesn’t really fit properly on my kitchen tap â€Ķ.so I don’t use it cos I end up with spray all over the kitchen !

Ha! been there done that
We were fortunate that the out building has water to it, so was just a case of drilling through the wall to add a tap outside.
also made it so much easier to fill the pool....not having to have a hosepipe trailing...to fall over

I’ve got one of those power washes to clean off the bird mess  , but I can’t use it â€Ķ..I have to chuck buckets of water over the patio â€Ķ.which doesn’t really do the job !
