Some idiot barged past as we were waiting to cross the road....pushing me off the pavement...didn't quite go down but managed to twist my foot.........heard & felt the bone crack and promptly passed out

Oh heck â€Ķbarsteward â€Ķ.is it your foot then , or like me , your ankle ? That cracking noise is sickening , isn’t it

No on the contrary...she told me to try and use the foot as much as normal as I can bear....only with the boot on though

Oh that’s lucky then Slim â€Ķ.I had to be totally non weigh bearing for 6 weeksâ€Ķthen partial for another few weeks â€Ķ.even with the boot on â€Ķ.but I guess the fact that I managed to totally smash the ankle â€Ķ.â€Ķ.. â€Ķ..I wouldn’t mind , but I literally only tripped down two stairs

Awwww Yes, they are , but you do get used to it â€Ķ..and it’s better than a plaster

Yes absolutely

I did the same injury to my left foot at boarding school doing mobilising, had to be carried from the gym hall to sick bay by the gym master....was the envy of all the girls
Had to have a plaster up to my knee then...navigating crutches in the snow was not easy

I can well imagine I had a road accident when I was in my teens â€Ķ.other leg to my angle â€Ķ.and ended up with pins and plates in it â€Ķ.I was in plaster from toe to hip for several months â€Ķ.like you , right through winter â€Ķ.but I had a rocker on the bottom , so no crutches .

Must be a nightmare for you going through the metal detector at customs

I had a metal pin put in my elbow aged 12....dislocated it & chipped a piece of bone...the pin was to stop the bone from traveling & getting in the way of the joint.........Had badgered my Mum for heeled shoes....she finally gave in...the heel was only 2inches ffs
