I was hoping to get a picture of the Black Swans in Dawlish....they are on the river on the opposite side of the road & rail from the beach....unfortunately we stopped in the station proper, so couldn't
It is nice living by the coast, but it does get hectic with grockles (tourists) in the summer ...which can be quite messy & noisy

Afternoon Slim , EFFT and Machel I hope you are all having a nice Sunday , and enjoying the sunshine . I managed a 5k walk this morning , so I’m chilling out this afternoon .

Well done on the walk Baz
Did you manage to use your lotion in the end?

Has been a lovely day here....tried to get some pics of the river, but my tablet went into child mode
Managed to sort it once I got home but couldn't be arsed to go back out ..maybe next time

Had some fab news re my properties in Bulgaria...drinks on me

Hold my share 'til I eventually get to visit my sisters in Poole and Wimbourne Minster as I'll be visiting Anja in Exmouth and might manage a jaunt into Exeter and descend upon you!

Machel....my Mum & Dad did a lot of their courting in Dawlish Warren (in the sand dunes)
Did you stay in the chalets/mobile homes when you holidayed?

First stayed in 1976,  tail back on motorway near Exeter, took longer to travel from Exeter to Dawlish Warren than it did from Sheffield to Exeter, we were in Lee Cliff Chalets looking out to the sea. Later years were at a hoseasons Park x

machel

Had never been to Dorset until my sister and her husband moved to Poole. The other sister was still in London at the time, but eventually moved to Poole as well, by which time the first sister was now in Wimbournre Minster. They've both been there long enough and I've visited often enough that I feel I know the place quite well.

The traffic jams haven't changed much since then
Both places fairly close to each other and only a stones throw form the beach....nice!

Would you consider moving to Dorset Fluffy?

Me too Slim I don’t kill spiders either â€Ķ.mainly because Mr B never did â€Ķ.so I’ve got a spider catcher and then I put them out . No factor 50 today cos I didn’t go for a walk , and , apart from a bit of weeding , I’ve not really been out . It was actually quite chilly here until late afternoon . Normal service will be resumed tomorrow though .I hope you’ve had a good day though .

It's been glorious here sun wise.....quay was packed again with picnickers & diners etc, so I walked the other way along the river...to the weir

I try not to kill any insects...especially now, as there appears to be a shortage of them, which is causing a concern with scientists........we would be stuffed without them  (insects that is)
I remember when Manchester Royal infirmary used to leave the windows open in the single wards of patients with gangrene, to allow the blue bottle in to lay eggs....evolving into maggots to eat the dead flesh ...effective but still

Evening Baz
Hoping you are still in one piece & not melted

Have spent the day at a friends small holding...her partner has hurt his back so she needed some help with the animals etc ...had forgotten how delightful the air smells around a farm
Was a fun but scary ..in equal measures.. kind of day
