I remember watching the occult/hammer horror films with her as a youngster....when my Dad was on nightshift & she didn't want to watch them on her own (she didn't become blind till she was 45...stroke)

Awwww Yes, I like Patricia Cornwell too .....but have tended away from the gory ones since I’ve been on my own.....and I’ve never liked horror films

I like the Shetland series ....in fact I like any books that have a protagonist that develops through the series .....Carolin Graham is another author I like ...

doesn't last long does it £100 worth of goods....whoosh!

We had our coop delivery yesterday...hoping it'll last over the weekend ...though my Dad can be really fickle...so who knows .....still the walk over to M&S isn't far

I've found since I've stopped eating meat, though Dad still does, that my bill has reduced somewhat

I'm very much a leftover cook...hate waste

If we cut out the beer(all his) and the gazillions of fizzy drinks (mostly his) we'd be half way there.

1 x 24 of Irn Bru

almost every week

I don't drink lager, I don't drink Coca Cola, I don't drink Irn Bru.

Mostly I drink tea, with the occasional coffee, Pepsi Max, Fanta, Lemonade or fruit juice.

Nah I don't like lager either....nor tea & coffee........I'm strictly a water drinker oh and a glass of fresh orange of a morning

That’s good EFFT Yes, I think our weather is much like yours .....although it’s still dry at the moment .

Well, we've had the rain. It's brightening again, but there's still a lot of cloud and some of it's quite overcast looking, so I think there'll be more rain before the day's done!

None here yet ....I think it’s due to arrive about teatime .

It's been raining on and off for the last 2hrs or so and think we're in for the same for the rest of the day

Still ...haven't got to go out again....Made a chicken pie for Dad and a veggie one for me for our dinner plus he's got scones with jam & cream for pud <<<<I might nibble on one of them later

The clouds to the left are looking quite dark and menacing, but as they are against the sun they might not really be as dark as they seem.
