i'm cooking christmas dinner this year on my new cooker  we are having beef so thats easier than turkey  mums doing that boxing day


what you doing for christmas dinner slim, are you staying at home?

Aims!...Have never eaten away for Christmas...wouldn't have it any other way...& I always cook...no help! (I like to do it myself)..& I always buy a Turkey crown!..
I cook a ham & a beef joint...for cold meats on Boxing day...so those that come round can just help emselves!......I like making pot salad too!....Mmmm!

and will Mr slim be joining you?

For the dinner..Yes!.......Wouldn't be fair to leave him on his own!

aww thats nice, Aimee sees her dad in the morning, she goes with him to his parents house to open presents then back here for dinner and then he picks her up again about 5 and they go to his parents for tea, alot of tooing and froing but everyone gets to see Aimee so everyone is happy

i've never cooked one before either  we all prefer beef anyway

it didn't always be that way, when she was little it was he had her one year for both days and then the next year it was  my turn, but it was horrible waking up on xmas day without her so i put my foot down and changed it, i look after her all year round so why should i be without her on xmas morning  he hasn't got a house of his own now anyway, so he can't have her to stay

I have to practice on meself before I let meself loose on any of me family

Turkey isn't hard to do....most come with cooking times on em anyways!..
Just need to remember not to overcook..cos it goes dry!..(I always cook mine above water...keeps it moist + the juices run into it...makes great gravy)..

Well thats right, you do look after all year round. So I have to agree there But its nice you've sorted it now
