SNOW, STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW CONTINUE OVER MOST AREAS OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 10 TO 30 CENTIMETRES CAN BE EXPECTED IN MANY REGIONS BEFORE SATURDAY MORNING. STRONG NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS ARE ALSO GENERATING WIDESPREAD BLOWING SNOW GIVING LOCAL BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES. WINDS NEAR 50 KM/H AND FALLING SNOW WILL RESULT IN SUSTAINED BLIZZARD CONDITIONS THIS EVENING FROM THE HANNA CORONATION REGION SOUTH TO CYPRESS HILLS REGION AND THEN WEST INTO THE LETHBRIDGE REGION. CONDITIONS WILL SLOWLY BEGIN TO IMPROVE FROM THE NORTHWEST EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. IN THE WAKE OF THIS COLD FRONT MUCH COOLER AIR WILL SETTLE OVER THE PROVINCE ON SATURDAY. THIS WINTER STORM CAN PRODUCE POOR TRAVELLING CONDITIONS. PERSONS IN OR NEAR THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR UPDATED WARNINGS.
