Well where it me, I would buy the fastest processor I could afford. Lots of memory too. I got 4gig on my laptop. If you go onto certain forums or talk to say Zaph, he's good. Much better than I am. I have been told to wait till the new version of Windows( Windows 7) comes out. Its pretty soon now. Its supposed to be much better than Vista. The Basic Vista is just that, very basic. The premium is supposed to have much more too it.

Have a word with Zaph or Olly in the Swillers thread.

As for the Acer dont really know tbh.

if you are wanting to play games on a laptop look for a better graphics spec than normal - you will pay more though but lap tops in a basic form arnt really very user friendly for games like a PC

our house is ancient and meant for coal fires, which we in our wisdom blocked off and had totally inefficient storage heaters fitted instead.  The walls just absorb the heat !  Shame not much gets left in the rooms !  Brrr
