Besides Yogi's link, there is a similar one on the BBC site:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchrelay

The street by street option gives the times as well.

It says it will show almost live coverage available on computers and Android systems, presumably when there are people carrying the torch rather than when it is in transit. IPhone to be available st some point in the relay.

Very near me at one point but............6.20 am - I'm not really an early riser - would like the boys to see it though. It would be something to remember. I recall the queen driving throgh my hometown when I was probably about five - my recollection is of waving a little flag (which I was forced to give to my cousin after the event) and seeing a big car.

For many years we also used to line the street to see the London to Brighton Vintage Car Race (we used to call it The Old Crocks Race) do they still do that?

Ditto... and it will be nice that it is in our time zone for once

Having said that.....I'll prolly be stuck at work anyway  Unless me numbers come up before then

Oh Soozy, when I was six the Queen visited the Singer's Sewing Machine factory in Clydebank. We were all frogmarched down the road (the school wasn't too far away) and made to line the factory's drive and all given wee flags to wave. I was most reluctant, but not quite brave enough NOT to wave my flag. It moved very little though. Like you, all we saw was a car.

I looked at the BBC one quite a while ago and you can get right down to a street by street account.

The nearest it comes to me is Rutherglen, but it would actually be easier for me to go to Glasgow or Edinburgh which are 2 and 3 times as far away. However, as I'm not really interested, I won't be going anywhere!

Anyway, we'll have it all to look forward to in a couple of years time with the Commonwealth Games

Cupar, Dairsie, Guardbridge and Leuchars on the 12th of June and St Andrews and Dunfermline on the 13th.
