A women took her life because of a stupid joke and you don't believe they are sorry

They are sorry that they are getting alot of abuse, not about the fallout of their prank.

If they are really sorry they'd quit their job on that station.

I don't believe that for one moment, no doubt they regret it, wish they could turn the clock back and it had never happened, but they have to live with the consequences of a prank that ended up in tragedy... they were silly but not evil, how can you think they are not sorry?

It's just my opinion Dame,  im not saying they aren't sorry that someone died (and im not saying that is totally their fault) but I do think that in these situations these people do tend to say anything to get them out of trouble.

I think at the minute Vids they must be feeling dreadful and whatever they say isn't going to bring that poor nurse back 

You're right we dont know that the nurse wouldnt have killed herself at sometime in the future but we do know she did now. You're also right that we dont know what else was going on in her life. But she is dead now and may not have been but for this prank, that all i'm saying.

Lookng at the close knit family, I don't think she would have killed herself at any given moment, but, of course, we don't know.

Moonie...of course, we don't know that it WASN'T the cause of her suicide but I am saying we don't know it was either.  Either way,  it's such a tragedy for her family and I hope they are getting a lot of help.  I bet they ARE blaming the DJ's, as is perfectly natural when your loved one commits suicide.  You don't want to ever blame them and you will blame someone else until you realise that no-one made that decision for them....ultimately it was their decision in the end.  That's why I honestly think she had other things on her mind as, having experience with 3 suicides within my family/circle of close friends, I know there's usually an underlying long term problem and that it wasn't a spur of the moment thing for any of them and they had all tried it before.

The DJ's are just the public faces of all this.  Their bosses gave the green light and the media went overboard and we have NO idea how Jacinta's bosses reacted or whether she feared backlash from the public or even The Royal Family!

What bloody infuriates me and thats swearing is that the nurse may have taken her life sometime in the future ...who says so is there any medical evidence ...whether we like It or not...who says she had medical issues

until I know the facts from the coroner I reserve my judgement on this ladies state of mind ...she may have taken her own life at anytime ....any evidence of this .. when I hear this from close friends and family and her doctor  I'll take note

I'm speculating because I really hate to think that this one issue was awful enough for that woman to have thought that that was the only way she could handle it.  It would be even sadder to know that it was that one thing that pushed her to do it.

surely her reaction to what happened wasn't the normal reaction of an emotionally stable person though?     Everyone is assuming that she did it because of the phone call anyway... was there a note?

Frodo....I understand you are annoyed about what I'm saying but all I am pointing out is that we do not know her previous mental history and it is not too far fetched to say that someone who has killed themselves this week MIGHT have done it in future if they had not went through with it this week.  It's just speculation yes, but, to say this was the only event that caused her to do what she did, is also just speculation.

With respect to you we are talking about the royals ..the level of the news coverage..whatever you think of them ..the publicity ..the humiliation for her ..do you really think she wasn't told off ...in a flat on her own ..

You aren't alone in being saddened by all this and yes, the main people to think about are the children.    It's awful to lose anyone at any time of the year but to lose someone on the run up to xmas is very sad.

No, I don't think that she wasn't told off (despite what the hospital say)     I still say it's not a normal reaction - and why was she alone?    Why wasn't she staying in the family home?   Perhaps because she had to move away from them to find work, I'm not sure  There are so many possibilities - maybe money problems, relationship problems, we simply don't know - but if there were that could have contributed to her mental state.   I still say it was not a normal reaction if all else in her life was as it should be.    Perhaps it was the final straw... no harder to bear for the DJs, and no less sad a situation of course

I bow out of this thread cause it dont seem like I have the right to my own opinion 

I saw the interview with the dj's and had a few feelings about it as I'm sure everyone did in however it personally came across to them. My overall feeling is how sad that just as one woman was experiencing the joy of becoming a Mother a stupid prank ocurred that no one could have forseen the tragic outcome and two children are mourning the loss of their Mother. This is a tragic story for all concerned and will affect their lives in many ways long term, especially Jacintha's family
